It's OK, in other "Unsolved Mysteries From WWII: "Soviet Russian land, sea and air forces carried out a massive, full-scale invasion of New Hampshire the same week to the day that Hitler's forces invaded Soviet Russia in "Operation Barbarossa"!

When Stalin learned of the severity and rapid success of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union he promptly called off his invasion of New Hampshire and ordered these forces to immediately retreat and return to Russia for redeployment to the Eastern front.

After gaining tremendous "experience in the field" learned from their invasion of New Hampshire, these battle tested Soviet forces made it back to Moscow in the winter of 1941 just in time to reinforce Moscow's beleaguered defenses, halt the German advance and save Moscow from capture and defeat.

News of the invasion of New Hampshire by the Soviets was successfully hidden from the American public and the world at large due to massive censorship, ordered by FDR in order to prevent Americans from rejecting the new alliance pact that he and Churchill had made with " Uncle Joe" Stalin and the Soviet Union.

The only remaining "proof" that Soviet Russia had successfully invaded New Hampshire was the Soviet's destruction of the New Hampshire state monument and symbol: "The Old Man in the Mountain". Stalin had ordered it destroyed and had planned to have this landmark replaced with a "Mount Rushmore" sized facial profile of his face to mark his "victorious triumph" over the state of New Hampshire. Unfortunately, this last phase of Stalin's plan to subjugate New Hampshire was never carried out due to the ordered hasty withdrawal of his entire invasion force.

Since the destruction of "The Old Man in the Mountain" NH State Monument was the only evidence left that the Soviets had indeed successfully invaded New Hampshire, FDR immediately ordered the SEEBEES along with the Corps of Engineers to "rebuild this state landmark 'as quickly and quietly as possible'". This huge undertaking was completed in total secrecy.

The facts of the successful Soviet Union invasion of New Hampshire only recently came to light after over fifty years when, inexplicably the entire reconstructed face of "The Old Man in the Mountain" literally "fell off" the mountain on May the third, 2003! The "cement" they used to glue the reconstructed face back together again and back onto the mountain ultimately failed due to the use of "sub-standard cement" ingredients because high quality cement was in short supply due to its being diverted and shipped to England as a part of FDR's "Lend-Lease" program in the defense of Great Britain.

The investigation of the successful Soviet invasion of New Hampshire during the early years of WWII is "ongoing" at this time. (Sarcasm off; Yes it's only make believe)

Hey, if Nazi Germany bombed Peary Harbor, who is to say this didn't happen as well? ;o)
