Are Democrats returning to their Confederate roots?
Driven to apoplexy by Donald Trump’s victory despite Hillary Clinton’s lead in the popular vote, some Democrats want to split the United States up.
At a forum yesterday, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) bemoaned the existence of the accursed Electoral College, that brilliant constitutional device that prevents angry mobs in densely populated states from picking the president of the United States on their own. But the way things are set up, there is no way to get the Constitution amended to abolish the Electoral College, she sighed.
California will probably vote for this. You can’t fix stupid.
California is an example of one party rule.
The left can (and do) propose the most insane laws and they get passed and the governor signs them.
To the rest of the US you should be thankful that California is giving an example of how the Democrats would rule if they were in the majority every where.
So basically she's just bloviating.
Did she take the oath of office and promise to "preserve, protect, and defend" ?

The amusing side to this story is that 10-percent of right-wing folks like this secession idea in California....so if you got social media involved, and college kids...you could probably get more than 50-percent to vote for it.
In this case....Jefferson would immediately vote for secession from the Republic of California...to join the US, and the rest of California would break up into five or six states within a couple of years.
Democrats should wake up the, join the right and moving the power out of the Washington Swamp. Give the power back to the states and people can move more easily to states the construe their values

Trouble is, they will take the geography with them when they secede.
The beach is not only fun, it’s vital to our national security.
Imagine what it will cost to rent a naval base in CA.

If Hillary had won there would be red states talking about seceding.
We just move the wall inland a bit to exclude cali....... no prob.
There are laws against sedition already on the books. Dust them off and go get these SOBs!
Then let’s force the traitors out of the country by bayonet. I’m OK with this. We basically did the same to the Torries back in the 1780s.
That naval base then becomes just like Fort Sumter. It belongs not to California, but to the United States. If California tries to take it by violence, then we invade, conquer, and reconstruct the state.
And hang the traitors.

W/all the commies consolidated into cities, it’d be pretty easy to take them out en masse.
Just need to start making mortars.
