The left believe it impossible that any rational person of quality could disagree with their views and policies. So the loss of the 2016 election must be explained elsewhere. On the night of the election, Obama's former "Green Czar," Van Jones told his CNN audience that Hillary's loss was the result of a "Whitelash" among the voters; racist Whites voting for Trump and against Barack Obama. Hillary blames her loss on FBI Director James Comey's announcement that he would re-open the investigation of her possible email "irregularities."
Either way, evil forces were clearly at work.

Hillary Clinton on Saturday cast blame for her surprise election loss on the announcement by the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, days before the election that he had revived the inquiry into her use of a private email server.
In her most extensive remarks since she conceded the race to Donald J. Trump early Wednesday, Mrs. Clinton told donors on a 30-minute conference call that Mr. Comey’s decision to send a letter to Congress about the inquiry 11 days before Election Day had thrust the controversy back into the news and had prevented her from ending the campaign with an optimistic closing argument.
“There are lots of reasons why an election like this is not successful,” Mrs. Clinton said, according to a donor who relayed the remarks. But, she added, “our analysis is that Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum.”
Mrs. Clinton said a second letter from Mr. Comey, clearing her once again, which came two days before Election Day...

Surprising to her and her sycophants. Not to me and a great many people here. We knew the ground swell was enormous and the turnout would be historical.
On a serious note, IMO, the real October surprise that put Trump over the top was the Obamacare open enrollment period starting just before the election. The fact that elections matter was driven home with huge increases in health insurance premiums.
the writer of Hard Choices wanted its reader to understand that Hillary was no babe in the security woods.But the Hillary Clinton who testified before the congressional committee “dint know nothin’” about security. The writer of Hard Choices should appear as a witness against Hillary Clinton in a trial for abuse of classified information, allowing it to be disseminated (at a minimum) to a laptop used by noted Internet user Anthony Wiener.

possiblenearly inevitable that it will be propagated to places/people you really, really do not want it to go to.
Agree. The average voter can’t get worked up about things that don’t seem to affect them. Premiums DO affect them.
Take money from foreign interests get burned.
Do it during a nationalist movement and get incinerated.
