Actually, I have, but not there. In church it’s only a brief hello...he’s whisked out pretty quickly afterwards

George P. Bush probably wants to run for something in the future. That’s likely why he’s supporting Trump.

Me too. He and Laura have lost my support with their liberal actions.

We need both the Bush crap and the Clinton crap out of our politics forever. Those two families have done more harm to America than any in all of our history. Both families can rot in Hell, the sooner the better.

I'm beginning to believe that Prescott Bush did support Hitler!

I'm done with the Bushes.

If they are offended because of the way Trump treated Jeb, one wonders how they could have forgotten how they treated “41.” Or “43.” Yet, we see how closely they have embraced both Clintons.

All your points are good, but I wanted to touch on this because this is an excellent point. I guess they can rationalize it that the Clintons are the opposing party. Sure, they bashed the Bushes, but that was only to the Democrats (and some independents). They still had the respect of their own. They were GOP royalty. It's different when it's someone like Trump who came in, essentially humiliated him politically speaking, and went after the reputation of the Bush family. Republican voters turned to Trump over Jeb! That must be infuriating. As this was supposed to be Clinton's year, it was supposed to be Jeb!'s year, and Trump destroyed that like a bull in a china shop.

The bottom line is that I had read/heard people say the two parties were a lot alike at the top, and I think that's true as far as establishment power. The Bushes and Clintons are establishment insiders and friends, so I suppose (if they vote for Clinton with all her corruption) that trumps ideology and all the ideals that we thought they stood for for the good of our country.

1. I remember reading in a magazine that Laura Bush, somewhere around the time they were moving to Dallas city home, came out that she was pro-choice. From that time on, I lost much of my respect for her. After being in a car and seeing someone killed, wouldn’t that loss affect her for the rest of her life??

2. GW, a born-again Christian, said after Sept. 11, 2001 that Islam was a religion of peace. WHAT a crock. He does not know history or Islam’s beliefs and probably never read one verse of the Koran. Wrong god, George!! Now we have peace all around the country???....He was VERY wrong.

3. Voting for Hillary? Guess he wants his kids and grands to live in a USA where the Supreme Court lets everyone shower together in PE unless you are Islamic as they can’t do anything by the laws of this country. Their elitism eeks out and I will never visit their Presidential museums again. I thought #41’s was great in College Station, TX...but I’ll not take the kids there ever.

4. I am sure the Clinton’s and Bush’s LOVED Donald Trump when he gave them lots of cash!! You can tell now and through all the election cycle, it’s all about money and power, not about life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

VERY SAD....but voting for the democrats that ran against him was too much for me!

Pee is doing everything he can not to be reelected in Texas. He’s already been AWOL from his new office throughout most of JEB!’s campaign but gladly cashed his paycheck of taxpayer dollars. This household will never vote for him.

GW Bush is a globalist just like his father. What decent family would embrace a perverted criminal like Bill Clinton and call him an adopted son and brother?

GWB is irrelevant now. His political influence is history if Trump wins or loses.

He didn’t butt his nose into Obama’s presidency. Let’s see if he’ll have the same “respect” for Trump’s.

This entire situation just is proof the 17th Amendment needs to be repealed.

I truly wish everyone here on FR would take 1/10 of the energy of bashing the Bush tribe and reflect at the bigger picture and ask how did we get here.... and how do we fix it.

Much like a good Doctor would look at the strokes a person is having, TIA’s and ask why are they happening and make decision to find the root cause and possibly perform the necessary surgery to stop the strokes... instead of reacting to the mini-strokes, more blood thinners, have a nice day... see you next week. We all know how that ends...

America not been a Republic since the passage of the 17th Amendment. We have become a uni-party controlled Democracy and the information age we are now in is exposing what we all have suspected for years... and historically all Democracies end in ultra-violent spasms... not what I care to see for my children.

I like Donald Trump... but hanging the idea that one man will fix it for us is just plain stupid. What happens in 4 years or 8?

Much like a good Doctor we have to go to the source of the malignancy. In this case it is the 17th Amendment.

The 17th Amendment handed the control of government over to the elite, big business and Party bosses... Unfortunately the communist took full advantage of it as well. We all know this... There would be no Lindsey Grahams, Ayottes or Juan Mc Pains in the Senate. The DC cartel would be diminished

The 16th Amendment essentially fuels the growth of Government at our expense.

If we truly wish to see our future brighter, its not in Donald Trump or any one man... its in our hands to honor what our Founding Fathers put together... We must repeal the 17th Amendment first... then the 16th Amendment. Trump may be an avenue to such an event.

If there is any one thing I wish the awesome community known as Free Republic would do is to fully and with out haste make every effort to repeal the 17th Amendment and not quit till its done. It is the necessary and correct thing to do!!!

Rant off. Ignore me or flame away I care not if you do. I only ask you step back and look around, then consider the request.

This world has gotten totally weird! I canNOT see him doing that.

Even if the worst happens, I’m not changing my name, though. :)

That nephew doesn’t even KNOW what the president is going to do! He even admitted it was speculative.

Last time I heard, ballots are private and no one will know who he votes for. I don’t think he’s ever revealed his vote afterward, either.

I do not disagree with your assessment, however as we are now forced to choose between two less than optimal choices so were we in 2000 and 2004. No matter what anyone says about GWB I will remain thankful it was
George Bush in the White House those 8 years and not Gore or Kerry!!!

Yes, the General election is one thing, Gore and Kerry would have been much worse, but in the primaries the Bushs need to be eliminated.
