Just returned from Early Voting in East Orlando, just South of UCF (2nd largest college campus in the US). This polling place is in a very diverse area since much of surrounding area is students and working class families. When we vote here in 2012, the lines were better than 90 black folks with Church Vans in operation and huge coordination efforts happening. Today the lines were mixed with maybe 1/2 white, very few Millennials, 1/4 Hispanic and 1/4 black. In 2012 I was completely blown away with the demographics, today is was very very different. It was about a 45 minute wait.
One more item, the lines were also about 1/3 of what they were in 2012.
To me that shows there is no enthusiasm for Hillary. The Blacks are not going to turn out for Hillary like they did for Obama.
More males or females?
Same here in Nevada.
I’m starting to think this is going to be the lowest turnout general election in a long time.
Today, I am sorry to state, I voted for Trump.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I am very glad to have marked my vote for Trump, but I am very sorry that my state makes us all vote by mail. Voter ID is that my ballot was mailed to my home address and that I put my signature on the official return envelope. Voting is done by filling in little ovals with black ink. Eventually, the ballot is passed through a vote counting machine.
We used to vote in person on paper at the polling place on election day, where we had to show our voter registration ID, but that made it harder for the leftists to cheat.
Did I really vote for Trump today? I hope so, but who knows?
About the same, maybe a majority of not overwhelming by any stretch of the imagination. The East side in this area is DOMINATED by the working and middle class and 60,000 students.
I would expect them to show up on the 8th. Is this a comparison to 2012 early voting?
“Eventually, the ballot is passed through a vote counting machine.” Or a shredder if you didn’t vote the “correct” way.
;-)
Good verification that Hillary is not getting the ‘black’ support she counts on.
Also her campaign appearances now are all directed towards that ‘black’ vote.
Just anecdotal, but here in WI, there is very little GOTV stuff going on in the back community. Hillary does is not putting the money into that that Obama did. I wonder if that is what you are seeing evidence of in FL.
If Trump gets 20% of black vote (some polls show him with 20%+) I think he wins ...
More males or females?
Can you tell still tell?
Yes, Early voting in this location was completely dominated by the Obama ground game. It was MASSIVE in 2012.
What’s the “back community?”
You’re so binary! How heteronormative to suggest only two genders!
I heard that baby had back!
If the I-4 corridor from Daytona, through Orlando, out to Tampa goes for Trump this POTUS race is over...not only in Florida...but across the entire country!!! Get out and cast your votes, folks for only, Donald J. Trump!!!
I was talking to the black head chef of a restaurant/bar around the corner from me while smoking a cigarette the other night. He has a kitchen crew of 3-4 guys, all black.
I asked him if he was voting for Hillary and he gave me an ‘Are you crazy?’ look followed by ‘’Ain’t nobody I know voting for that bitch, maybe some old ladies from the Church, but no way I’m voting for her...”
Verbatim...
I would argue if either, Michigan, Wisconsin or Iowa vote for Trump, Hillary would be in huge trouble.
