Husband and I are the only conservatives and Trump supporters in my large extended left wing family. We have always been quiet when family idiots start braying against Republicans, conservatives, Trump, etc.
No more. I'm done with the ignorant fools in my family. I'm taking them on in person and on Facebook and I imagine they all hate me at this point--including my brother, who is an executive at the St. Louis Post Dispatch. What's new is I DON'T CARE anymore if they hate me and never speak to me again.
I've told them "This is Total War, and we are on opposite sides. You are with the enemy and you are now the enemy."
How is it going with your families and family dinner discussions LOL?
Entire family is Anti-Hillary/Pro-Trump.
I haven’t talked to the libs in my family for years. I’ll see them at the funeral. maybe.
We just have to pray we won’t have to shoot them.
Let them try getting along without their "foil" of conservative family members, and they'll eventually try to make up to you. Mark my word.
In a perverse sense, I really believe that leftists deep down detect a core of eternal truth in the conservative position, and derive a certain sense of security from its existence. If truly backed to a wall, I don't think they would admit to wanting to live in a world completely devoid of conservative values and people. That world would even be a nightmare to THEM.
I openly went at it, for the 1st time, with a friend.

What truth? This whole thing is an idiotic setup and a joke.
Trump for President? I seriously thought he would get waxed by Cruz, Newt or Kasich.
Hillary for Prez? She has a long record of exactly zero achievements other than being a grifter and playing the role Tammy Wynette for political expediency.
Trump engaged in locker room banter? I don’t see any women complaining about his actual behavior.
The Clinton’s on the other hand have actually and seriously abused women.
“I did not have have sexual relations, with that woman....Ms. Lewinsky”.
Oh, he meant the woman with the blue dress on. Personally if I were president I would be up to no good with a number of women and I would go Kennedy.
But, I don’t have women accusing me of rape, and then lying under oath, suborning perjury which resulted in his being fined nearly $1 million, disbarred 5 years and permanently barred from ever arguing in front of the Supreme Court.
Sure, he’s not on the ballot but, she supported his actions which demonstrably injured women and she tore into them often.
Her dishonesty goes all the way back to Watergate, when she worked on the committee.
Rose law records mysteriously show up as gift years after the original investigation ended. Weird and why have them show up at all.
The there is Whitewater, Travel gate, trumped up charges that some idiotic video was to blame for Benghazi, orchestrating the destruction of the Middle East, conveniently deciding what emails to give back and erasing some 30,000.
Lucky for her Comey decided that while what she did is prosecutable, no one in their right might would pursue this case and therefore he would not refer it to justice.
Poor Petraeus. Now that guy is an asshole (sarcasm).
Lucky for Clinton, 1/2 of her voters weren’t alive when she and Bill pulled their shenanigans, so they see her through a different lens.
So here we are playing cute games with memes and a bunch of us acting like they found Jesus and are on their Moral High Horse, which should have been put down humanely for its limp and lameness.

I’ve heard some pretty Salty language from every last person you know. They aren’t angels.
I still think that they are wonderful people but, no one is in a position to judge others....unless they like being judged too.

Most of my family is pro-Liberty; my Mom is on the fence (but when they come to take her guns she’ll snap) and as far as I can tell my half-sister is a sold out Hillary supporter...my Dad (God rest his soul) was a firebrand and I’m glad he’s not going to see what’s coming; just lost him 3 months ago.
Otherwise, I don’t associate with libs.
If Hellary is installed all bets are off.

There is little a person can that is more degenerate than providing friendship or familial support to a leftist.
I have been studying the Civil War for this last year. Back in February I figured something out that makes me realize our modern situation isn't really all that different.
In fact, most of the same players are still in place.
The Civil War was pretty much the Power Barons of New England against their counterparts in the South. New York still controls the media, and so now it's basically the coasts (Led by New York) against the rest of the Nation.
But they have the television networks and satellites and such.
