If you are maybe a Millennial, or a complacent and uniformed liberal, or even a deplorable other, you had better learn to be ready for ANY natural, or manmade catastrophe. Its only common sense
Today we are being deluged with dramatic and dramatized stories about Hurricane Matthew getting ready to wallop Florida. There are photos of empty supermarket shelvesno bread, no water, no eggs. There are photos of traffic backed up for miles as people flee, choosing not to hunker down, this time. There are stories and photos of the National Guard prepping to roll, although I dont know what would make them magical against a hurricane. There is drama everywhere. There is even a false-color, adjusted, but demonic image of a spooky skull with glowing red eyes deep inside the storm.
Media orgasms!
I’m wondering how much money the Clinton Foundation will donate for food, medicine and blankets to help the people of Haiti so hard hit by this hurricane?
5PM is the critical hour for Central Florida - since records kept in 1851 this area never experienced a hurricane of this strength
The news media are not exaggerating on this one. Hurricane Matthew is a serious threat.
I’ve lived through smaller hurricanes and tropical storms here in Virginia. Power was out for many people for 3 and more weeks. Massive trees down. Grocery store shelves empty. Can’t imagine winds above 80 mph, let alone over 115 mph. That is scary enough for me.
I hate the drama that goes along with every Tropical Storm or Depression. However, in this case, with a storm as large and fierce as this , I don't think you can overdramatize it. The storm is a Cat 4, and that means severe damage to those in it's path. So I'm okay with over dramatization of Matthew.
One of the great things about not having TV is, though I know there is a hurricane somewhere, I know it like I know there is a debate on Sunday. I don’t hear about it every day.
We live in Sun City Hilton Head. Put up the shutters and headed for Atlanta. Many people stayed. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Usually they track the Gulf Stream about 60 miles off shore. Betting this will do the same. But the LAST thing to count on is the MSM hype! You have to
make your own decisions.
“Hilton Head”
It probably is a wise choice to head inland.
You do not want to get stuck on an island with a week or more of no power.
“Cant imagine winds above 80 mph, let alone over 115 mph. That is scary enough for me.”

I lived through 1938 hurricane in New England.
110 mph winds.
The howling noise was terrifying and I still remember it.
.
NOTE notice date and wind conditions and reporting locations.

I can imagine that would be hard to forget. People do not understand how dangerous it is until they live through it.
All of your strongest supporters with IQs over 40 are there waiting and dying to see you!
If you take Chelsea with you, you might qualify for a Darwin Award!
Be serious.
The Clintons are right on it!
500 tons of Hillary 2016 bumper stickers and "stronger together" posters were shipped Overnight Air right away, and another 500 tons of voluntary donation forms followed the following day.
She gots it covered...
2 million life preservers with "power through it" printed on them also are being manufactured in China for the relief effort, and will be shipped before the next presidential debate...
