Hint: They don't care about your healthcare in the least. Impossible to argue otherwise Pivot Toward Single Payer
This morning, Dan discussed a recent Bill Clinton speech in which the former President trashed Obamacare as a crazy system which hurts small business. In case you havent seen the clips, seen below.
So, if theyre admitting what conservatives said all along - that ObamaCare is an unworkable mess - you have to ask why. Heres the answer:
That was the goal all along. I think they are letting the cat out of the bag to be honest, because many people falsely believe ACA is wonderful. Since they give credit entirely to Obama they will view this as a slap in Obama’s face. It will hurt Hillary, unless Obama comes out and says it as well. But I do not see that happening.
This is where the Clintons will show their true colors: they will throw Obama and Democrats in tight House and Senate races under the bus by running AGAINST Obamacare.
Obumbles may come back hard on the Clintons for this. They and the Clintons hate each other. I hope Bill’s diss of Obama’s “crown achievement” will start a war.
Rapin Bill & Crooked Hillary still believe in triangulation thinking that they can siphon off Republican voters if they bash ObammyCare. They are wasting their time.
I doubt he will do it so close to his finish line. He wants to get Hillary elected.
They could have cut a deal
Heres the answer:
1. its impossible to argue otherwise. With exchanges collapsing all over the country, theres simply no case to be made that ObamaCare is working. Its rapidly approaching the point of implosion, and to claim otherwise would simply generate laughter. Since Hillarys already struggling with credibility, she doesnt want that.
So
2. Its time to pivot toward single payer. Of course, this was the plan all along. ObamaCare was designed to fail. It was, famously, a step on the path to a fully government-run system. Hillary has decided its time to move forward on the road to single-payer.
Right now, Hillary is struggling among many of her formerly loyal demos. She desperately needs something that will generate excitement among young liberals. If youre a basement-dwelling socialist whos angry about the destruction of Bernie Sanders, nothing gets you pumped up like the idea that the feds could take control of every doctor in the country.
This will be Hillarys last great play of the 2016 cycle.
Get millennials on board by promising (or intimating) to enact the greatest federal expansion in the history of the nation. Bill is laying the groundwork, and none other than the New York Times is announcing the plan by suggesting the ailing ObamaCare will have to change to survive:
I guess we will see, but yes I hope it affects some of those who were going to vote for her, to change their minds and stay home, vote third party, or even vote for Trump (but that option is highly unlikely).
They will run against Obamacare but they were the first to try to jam it through... back then it was Hillarycare.
They will say and do whatever they have to do to get elected, and then do whatever they want. They only brake on them is the fact that while they can’t be bought, they can be rented. Their corruption is their most redeeming feature.
“...They and the Clintons hate each other...”
Indeed they do. Notice that Obama has cancelled his Florida rally for Hillary.
Two years later, the Democratic House and Senate passed a bill that had everything Clinton proposed. Obama had no choice but to sign it into law. The media even called it "Obamacare" and said it was his crowning achievement.
Now the Clintons and the media are running around calling it "crazy."
That jug-eared Kenyan dope still hasn't figured out that he was played.
The flaw with that scenario is that it’s not millenials who are getting burned by Obamacare. The younger ones are still on their parents’ policies. The older ones who aren’t employed don’t pay much of a penalty anyway. It’s the group in the 40-65 age group that is getting screwed.
At some point after he is no longer president even obama will come out for single payer. He will blame the failure of obamacare on the insurance companies.
For those who hate click-bait teasers...
1. its impossible to argue otherwise.
2. Its time to pivot toward single payer.
I think it is more than reasonable to chalk the Florida rally’s cancellation up to Matthew.
Obama supports Hillary because it is the best way to protect and enrich himself.
Bill forgot what campaign and what year it was
and Hillary wants to give him a ‘prominent place’ in her admin?
Well, I know the REAL reason that Bill dissed Obamacare:
Obama never contributed to the Clinton Foundation.
Simple as that! :>)
If only republicans would start using it as a talking point. I haven’t heard many mentions even from Trump.
The have a specific talking point for unions:
* Dems didn’t give the waivers unions wanted/expected
* Premiums have grown faster than initial “projections” so union members will be subject to the Cadillac tax sooner than planned. The tax applies to everyone but unions were particularly concerned because they had better plans than most.
Honestly, I see that hurting them more than helping.
It will only turn more people away from the Democrats as people start realizing what the Dems have REALLY done to us.
Why would we want more of that when they've already proved themselves untrustworthy?
