Google promotes controversial claim it’s NOT possible for ethnic minorities to be racist

GOOGLE is promoting the idea that ethnic minorities CANNOT be racist toward white people.

The tech giant’s search results appear to foreground left-leaning answers to this highly controversial question, rather than giving a view which reflects the fact there is debate over this contentious issue.

It is not clear whether this is conscious decision from Google, or whether it is a result of the algorithms it uses to compile search results

America is currently locked in a passionate argument about whether some supporters of groups like Black Lives Matter are actually racist towards white people, with people from different sides of the political spectrum offering varying views.

However, Google’s search facility offers a rather one-sided solution to this thorny and divisive question.

We searched Google using several terms similar to the phrase: “Can you be racist towards white people?”

Google showed us an explanation which appears to be taken from the Huffington Post.

“Any person can be racist, regardless of their own race,” Google’s search rankings explained....

Racism DOES NOT require power. It requires IRRATIONAL prejudice.

Racism is about irrational prejudice, and that is it.

There can be rational reasons not to like other people, for many rational reasons. I do not like murderers. I do not like thieves. I do not like criminal thugs. I do not like sexual perverts. I do not like violent people. I do not like people that are brutish and loud and obnoxious. I do not like people that think they are better than other people and run around with chips on their shoulders. I do not like hypocritical people. I do not like visibly unfriendly people. I do not like people who do not live by the Golden Rule.

Plenty of rational reasons not to like people and all of my above reasons have zero to do with skin color.

The love of money is the root of all evil. Slavery was borne out of that lustful greed, from its inception.

There are greater sins, but slavery and all the maltreatment, murder, debauchery, torture (at el) that is inherent with that oppression is sin manifested.

What if you live in an area where "minorities" are in the majority?

Derrick Bell, "Critical Race Theory," back in the 80s.

I remember a black co-worker announcing this to us whities.

Maybe part of the explanation is that the left is obsessed with racism and thus creates statistical patterns in google searches that influence google algorithms.

Conservatives are obsessed with guns, life, job, money, terrorism, etc and don't google about race. When my parents or siblings thought of another person. They did not wonder "Is he racist". They wondered "Is he pro-life? Is he a Christian? What kind of job does he have?"

They did not judge or think of people in terms of race.

That’s why they redefined the term from simply bigotry to bigotry + power. I had someone tell me that in response to discussion on blacks attacking whites in North Carolina.
I said that when the state gives them room to riot, the feds feel your pain and a group can hunt down someone and assault them based on their skin color shouting racist insults and no one goes to jail, whites clearly don’t have the power anymore.

Google has learned nothing from the demise of the MSM. Once the MSM slid down that slippery slope of biasing their "reporting" they inevitably lost all credibility and we've turned elsewhere for our information.

Google would do well to note that. They are not the only search engine, just the largest - for now. If they follow, well, the more they follow the MSM bias, the more likely they are to follow their path to obscurity.

What their explanation smacks of is that their algorithms about thoughts and attitudes of people regarding racism are CORRECT and the PEOPLE ARE WRONG. “We (the algorithms) aren’t wrong....we can prove it with the results of our algorithms. The people - humans - are the wrong ones here.

Horse pucky.

Look up the definition of “racist.” Note that there is no exception clause.

Imagine the power of a “logic” that enables you to declare yourself exempt from certain flaws.

To your wife: “I don’t have to take out the garbage because it can’t be my job.”
To a cop: “I wasn’t speeding, officer, because I can’t speed.”
In court: “I am not guilty of murder because I can’t be guilty of murder.”

And blacks want to talk about WHITE privilege????

"......because racism is by historical understanding and modern doctrine a belief in white supremacy.

Only among liberal historians. "Racism" as a free-standing word means "the belief in the superiority of one race over another". "White racism" is the correct term for the meaning you give.

Leftist Blacks and leftists in general have always believed this. They see race relations between whites and blacks as the same as between, say, Nazis and Jews. A Jew is oppressed in Nazi Germany, is living in one of the concentration camps, and says "I hate all Germans!". Considering what he's gone through, one would tend to excuse his hatred of Germans while upbraiding the Germans for their hatred which has caused so much death and pain and suffering.

The problem that approach is that most of the problems which afflict blacks in America are of their own and the 'rat party's making. They are not being "kept down by da white man". If anything, the white man has bent over backwards to accommodate them.

Yeah, this idea flies in the face of logic, history and common sense.
