69 eye-opening facts about Hillary's VP pick (VERY enlightening article about Tim Kaine)

His views and votes on abortion, immigration, Israel, guns, his defense of "THE RIGHT TO HUNT AND FISH BUT..." Immigration, stoic support of Muslim and Islamic associations, Taxes, Affirmative Action, LBGBTQRSTV or whatever... Just about everything. (...)Marxist mentors

On Sept. 2, the New York Times published a lengthy piece titled, “In Honduras, a spiritual and political awakening for Tim Kaine,” intended to show how his purported politics of compassion was grounded in faith when the then-22-year-old traveled to Honduras to volunteer with Jesuit missionaries, as civil wars raged through Central America.

What it showed instead was the roots of Kaine’s radicalism and a politics grounded in communist ideology. And what it neglected to mention was his mentors were mainstream Marxists virulently opposed to the United States.

The Times reported, “Mr. Kaine embraced an interpretation of the gospel, known as liberation theology, that championed social change to improve the lives of the downtrodden.”

However, as an ambassador to the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, former Secretary of State of Ohio and Cincinnati Mayor Ken Blackwell of the Family Research Council pointed out in an article in the Hill on Sept. 9:

“This (liberation theology) wasn’t mainstream ‘Catholic thought’ at the time. It was a radical, Marxist-based ideology at odds with the Church, the pope, and the United States, but supportive of (and supported by) the Soviet Union.”

Tim Kaine Backed Terry McAuliffe’s Doomed Car Company
Project criticized by Va. officials as overly reliant on political connections

http://freebeacon.com/national-security/tim-kaine-backed-terry-mcauliffes-doomed-car-company/

Former Virginia Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine helped the investment firm that backed a struggling electric car company then headed by current Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe shortly after state officials criticized the company’s business model as overly reliant on political connections.

Kaine, now a U.S. senator, sent a letter to an official at the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) in December 2009 detailing Virginia policies that would benefit Gulf Coast Funds Management (GCFM), a major investor in GreenTech Automotive.

GCFM works to secure investors for U.S. companies through USCIS’s EB-5 program, which offers visas to foreign investors who pledge a certain level of financing for American businesses.

The firm is run by Anthony Rodham, the brother of former Sen. and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Kaine was attempting to classify certain areas of Virginia as “targeted employment areas,” which reduces the threshold for EB-5 capital needed to grant visas to investors.

“This letter is to identify the agency in Virginia which has been named to determine and designate areas of high unemployment as targeted employment areas with respect to the application of Gulf Coast Funds Management, LLC for approval of expansion in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Kaine wrote.

Kaine’s letter came three days after officials from the Virginia Employment Commission sent a letter to the same USCIS official detailing areas in the state that it had classified as targeted employment areas.

Grossman mentioned Kaine, former president Bill Clinton, and McAuliffe as high-profile political boosters of GreenTech’s application for EB-5 financing.

GreenTech would eventually forego plans for a Virginia manufacturing facility in favor of one in Mississippi, where Republican Gov. Haley Barbour, a close friend of McAuliffe, helped the company secure millions in state incentives.

McAuliffe even directly lobbied then-Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to approve pending visa applications.

The month before Kaine sent his letter to USCIS, another VEDP official noted that GreenTech had “asked Governor Kaine to write a letter to Secretary Napolitano” in an attempt to help secure EB-5 financing for the company.

Kaine’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

His work on behalf of GCFM could fuel perceptions that GreenTech’s business strategy depended in large measure on the political support that McAuliffe brought to the table.

The Virginia governor’s race between McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli “might be the clearest contrast we’ve seen of a corporatist Democrat running against a free-market populist,” Tim Carney, director of the Culture of Competition Project at the American Enterprise Institute, previously told the Washington Free Beacon.

The Messy Facts in Virginia (2013)

Summary

The Virginia governor’s race is breaking our general expectations as fact-checkers: There’s strident attack galore, but much of it is accurate.

We normally find the harsher the attack, the more likely it’s false. So much for that. Instead of a fact-checking field day in this race, we find the accusations in ads from each side are generally on target, or so close to being so that we find only minor quibbles.

So, we’ll simply explain the attacks and mini-scandals plaguing both candidates — noting when campaign ads have gone a bit too far or pushed false implications.
Ads from the Republican Governors Association point out, correctly, that Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s electric-car company proposed to build a huge plant in China and not in Virginia. It’s the case, as another RGA ad says, that GreenTech’s financing is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission — and the inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security. McAuliffe says he wasn’t responsible for that part of company business.

Republican Governors Association Ad: “A Bad Deal For Virginia” (Transcript of Ad)

Announcer: Terry McAuliffe built his factory in China. Why not Virginia?

McAuliffe: “I wanted to put the plants here in Virginia, but unfortunately, for whatever reason, Virginia did not bid on the car manufacturing facility.”

Announcer: Virginia smelled a rat.

State officials under Democrat Governor Kaine likened McAuliffe’s factory financing to a visa-for-sale scheme, with potential national security implications, now federal investigations.

Using political connections for preferential treatment?

Selling visas to wealthy Chinese investors?

Terry McAuliffe. A bad deal for Virginia.

From the same article:

As for China, the Ordos plant that McAuliffe announced with such gusto in 2011 may never be built. Construction was halted and put on indefinite hold when Chinese government funding dried up. GreenTech’s McInerney says the company employs five people there, awaiting a decision on whether promised government financial assistance will be restarted.

Meanwhile, McAuliffe’s claim to be a savvy, job-creating businessman has taken a beating. His resignation as GreenTech’s board chairman was accepted in a letter dated Dec. 1, 2012, a copy of which was supplied to us by the company at our request. No announcement was made at the time, and the public didn’t learn of his exit until Politico reported it in April 2013. His opponent immediately called the resignation “an admission of failure.”

And in a later interview with the New York Times, GreenTech’s chief executive officer said there are days he wishes he had never gone into business with McAuliffe. “I learned a lot of things,” the Times quoted CEO Charles Wang as saying. “Politicians or people with political backgrounds are dangerous to business.”

For example, the Times wrote that Wang recalled a key federal official who “seemed to burn with resentment that Mr. McAuliffe went over his head” to Janet Napolitano, the secretary of Homeland Security, while seeking federal clearance to recruit foreign investors through a special visa program. Wang said that negative publicity over McAuliffe’s use of political connections “had given investors cold feet” and attracted unwelcome attention from McAuliffe’s political enemies, the Times reported.

McAuliffe is a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee with close ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Tim Kaine the Radical Islamic Terrorist Sympathizer Fingered

http://www.fourwinds10.net/siterun_data/government/fraud/us_government/news.php?q=1469461760

Clinton VP Pick Tim Kaine’s Islamist Ties

It can now be reported that Tim Kaine, democrat of Virginia, soon to be Democratic vice presidential nominee, along with current Democratic Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, are not only major sympathizers for radical Islamic terrorism but have operated as bag men for the Clinton Foundation using the Muslim Brotherhood and HSBC bank headquartered in Englewood, Colorado as a back door money laundry, which has funded the Clinton Foundation and helped contribute millions of dollars of campaign contributions to the Democratic National Committee.

Some of these funds have found their way through U.S. Citibank, the Saudi Royal Family, and into the hands of the radical Islamic terrorist group known as ISIS.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s newly-announced running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, has a history of embracing Islamists. He appointed a Hamas supporter to a state immigration commission; spoke at a dinner honoring a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect; and received donations from well-known Islamist groups.

Appointing a Muslim Brotherhood Front Leader Who Supports Hamas

In 2007, Kaine was the Governor of Virginia and, of all people, chose Muslim American Society (MAS) President Esam Omeish to the state’s Immigration Commission. A Muslim organization against Islamism criticized the appointment and reckless lack of vetting.

Federal prosecutors said in a 2008 court filing that MAS was “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” A Chicago Tribune investigation in 2004 confirmed it, as well as MAS’ crafty use of deceptive semantics to appear moderate. Convicted terrorist and admitted U.S. Muslim Brotherhood member Abdurrahman Alamoudi testified in 2012, “Everyone knows that MAS is the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Read our fully-documented profile of MAS here.

According to Omeish’s website, he was also President of the National Muslim Students Association (click there to read our profile about its Muslim Brotherhood origins) and served for two years on the national board of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which the Justice Department also labeled as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity and unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas-financing trial.

His website says he was Vice President of Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, a radical mosque known for its history of terror ties including having future Al-Qaeda operative Anwar Al-Awlaki as its imam and being frequented by two of the 9/11 hijackers and the perpetrator of the Fort Hood shooting. Omeish’s website says he remains a board member.

It says he was chairman of the board of Islamic American University, which had Hamas financier and Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yousef Al-Qaradawi as chairman of its board until at least 2006. Omeish was also chairman of the board for the Islamic Center of Passaic County, a New Jersey mosque with heavy terrorist ties and an imam that the Department of Homeland Security wants to deport for having links to Hamas.

Omeish directly expressed extremism before Kaine appointed him. He claimed the Brotherhood is “moderate” and admitted that he and MAS are influenced by the Islamist movement. In 2004, Omeish praised the Hamas spiritual leader as “our beloved Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.” Videotape from 2000 also surfaced where Omeish pledged to help Palestinians who understand “the jihad way is the way to liberate your land” (he denied this was an endorsement of violence).

When a state delegate wrote a letter to then-Governor Kaine warning him that the MAS has “questionable origins,” a Kaine spokesperson said the charge was bigotry.

Kaine obviously failed to do any kind of basic background checking in Omeish.

Omeish resigned under heavy pressure and Kaine acknowledged that his statements “concerned” him. But, apparently, they didn’t concern him enough to actually learn about the Muslim Brotherhood network in his state and to take greater precautions in the future.

Speaking at a Dinner Honoring Muslim Brotherhood Terror Suspect

In September 2011, Kaine spoke at a “Candidates Night” dinner organized by the New Dominion PAC that presented a Lifetime Achievement Award for Jamal Barzinji, who the Global Muslim Brotherhood Watch describes as a “founding father of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.”

He first came on to the FBI’s radar in 1987-1988 when an informant inside the Brotherhood identified Barzinji and his associated groups as being part of a network of Brotherhood fronts to “institute the Islamic Revolution in the United States.” The source said Barzinji and his colleagues were “organizing political support which involves influencing both public opinion in the United States as well as the United States Government” using “political action front groups with no traceable ties.”

Barzinji had his home searched as part of a terrorism investigation in 2003. U.S. Customs Service Senior Special Agent David Kane said in a sworn affidavit that Barzinji and the network of entities he led were investigated because he “is not only closed associated with PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad]…but also with Hamas.” Counter-terrorism reporter Patrick Poole broke the story that Barzinji was nearly prosecuted but the Obama Justice Department dropped plans for indictment.

Islamist Financial Support

Barzinji’s organization, IIIT, donated $10,000 in 2011 to the New Dominion PAC, the organization that held the event honoring Barzinji that Kaine spoke at. The Barzinji-tied New Dominion PAC donated $43,050 to Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign between 2003 and 2005. That figure doesn’t even include other political recipients that assisted Kaine’s campaign.

The PAC has very strong ties to the Democratic Party in Virginia, with the Virginia Public Access Project tallying almost $257,000 in donations. This likely explains why Barzinji’s grandson served in Governor McAuliffe’s administration and then became the Obama Administration’s liaison to the Muslim-American community.

The Middle East Forum’s Islamist Money in Politics database shows another $4,300 donated to Kaine’s Senate campaign in 2011-2012 by officials from Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Another $3,500 came from Hisham Al-Talib, a leader from Barzinji’s IIIT organization.

It’s worth noting that Barzinji’s IIIT donated $3,500 to Esam Omeish’s 2009 campaign delegate campaign, tying together the cadre of Muslim Brotherhood-linked leaders who got into Kaine’s orbit.

This green energy story has connections all the way from the Clinton’s to the Obama White House, as well as other interesting ties, including a Republican governor, and plenty of taxpayer subsidies. Worse, besides “Chinese capitalism” at the helm, political influence, and a flop to boot, it involves exaggeration at best, deception at its worst, all wrapped up in a pile of mystery, and possibly bundled with a “green cards for sale” scheme. Meanwhile, this particular green project “has led to two federal investigations — one by the Securities and Exchange Commission to determine whether company officials improperly raised money and one by the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general to determine whether appeals to obtain visas for foreign investors were improper,” reported TribLive News in August.

http://greencorruption.blogspot.com/2013/09/virginia-governor-race-dem-candidate.html#.V-EZdZgrKUk

The only difference in this tale, other than the potential threat to national security, and that President Obama is not at the center (although there are ties), is the fact that GreenTech is overly sensitive, even when facing facts. Case in point: sometime in April, GreenTech filed an $85 million lawsuit against an online government watch dog for libel, taking issue with two online stories, of which “detail the woes of the government immigration program, called EB-5. In one article, a financial expert criticized the EB-5 program as “a fraud,” explained Watchdog.org.

"> Tim Kaine stepped down as DNC chair in 2011 and was replaced by Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Rumor: VP nominee Kaine was once chair of the DNC, asked to step down by Hillary Clinton who "arranged" to have him replaced by her friend and her former campaign official Wasserman Schultz. The article insinuates that the VP slot is his "pay back" for agreeing to this.

Media Silent On Banner Unfurled Just As Tim Kaine Took The Stage At DNC

http://www.westernjournalism.com/media-silent-on-banner-unfurled-just-as-tim-kaine-took-the-stage-at-dnc/

Pete Schroeder of The Hill covered the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night and uncovered a scene that the mainstream media are refusing to report. Schroeder tweeted a photo of a banner unfurled by Sen. Bernie Sanders’ supporters over Vice President Joseph Biden’s skybox, just as Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential choice, was being introduced to the crowd.

The banner read: Election Fraud

There was much more friction at the DNC than the press allowed us to know about.

Tim Kaine Sanctioned for Campaign Fraud

http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/tim_kaine_sanctioned_for_campaign_fraud/

JAMES JOYNER · FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2005 ·

Tim Kaine, the Democratic nominee and apparent leader in the Virginia governor’s race, has been cited by the Virginia State Board of Elections for a fraudulent advertisement using Republican logos.

VIRGINIA STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS SANCTIONS KAINE CAMPAIGN
(Republican Governors Association)

Refers to Commonwealth’s Attorney for Potential Prosecution
WASHINGTON, DC – This morning the Virginia State Board of Elections, in an emergency meeting called to examine Tim Kaine’s deceptive campaign mailer, issued the strongest possible penalty against the Kaine campaign for violation of Virginia Law, as well as referred the matter to the Commonwealth’s Attorney to further investigate whether the illegal mailer was intentional, and therefore subject to criminal penalties.

The Board of Elections, in response to a complaint filed by the Republican Governors Association (“RGA”) against the Kaine campaign, unanimously ruled that the disclaimer on the Kaine campaign’s deceptive mailer did not meet the requirement of Virginia law to be “conspicuous.” The Board of Elections then unanimously voted to issue the maximum allowable fine ($100) against the Kaine campaign.

Next, the Board discussed whether the Kaine violation was intentional or “knowing” under VA law, and because of the seriousness of the violation unanimously referred it to the Commonwealth’s Attorney to further investigate and potentially prosecute.

RGA Executive Director Mike Pieper stated: “Virginia voters need to evaluate whether they can trust Tim Kaine and his consistently dishonest campaign. It must be especially disheartening for Kaine’s supporters to see his campaign referred to the Commonwealth’s Attorney on the eve of Election Day for potential prosecution.”
