Participating in NORC Research
Learn More About NORC
This site provides information for participants in NORC research. If you have been contacted by an NORC researcher, we hope that you participate. Participants in our research studies have been scientifically selected. Your opinions and experience are important and cannot be replaced by anyone else’s. The most critical component of virtually every NORC research project is you, the potential research participant. NORC is grateful for each and every person who participates in our research projects and works tirelessly to protect their privacy and rights as a research participant. NORC is an independent research organization affiliated with the University of Chicago. We conduct non-partisan research to provide information to people who make decisions on key social issues. Our research addresses important social issues like employment, education, and health care.
History does not give this statement a high level of confidence! Not specifically for the NORC but for any database, like this, that contains hacker-valued data. As for participation, it is true that such surveys can assist but conversely personal information given out adds to personal risk! A solution might be to only answer questions that do not reveal personal info.
And for that lie, I would refuse to participate.
...to provide information to people who make decisions on key social issues.
Oh yeah, sure...and do you sell bridges with that?
Tell them to stick all their "research" crap.
I throw all that crap in the trash and hang up on any real or acting-as-real survey takers that call my phone.
AARP has finally stopped bugging me, since I sent all their crap back to them, along with a 4 pound piece of sheet metal, using their self-addressed postage paid envelope.
Had to do it more than once, but they got the message, eventually.
