I thought they got lots of subsidies.
Well that's a plus, no one else will even admit it's going on.
This will draw a lot of hate from the farmer-haters who think we get rich on govt. subsidies. That ended for most farmers years ago.
Doesn't anyone remember them?
Simply done, abolish the Agricultural department, the EPA, the “Energy” department(which produces no energy) and OSHA. He has also said he will stop “baseline budgeting?” Is that true? Really easy to stop the continual rise in government spending. Start here: freeze federal spending to all alphabet agencies, freeze hiring—no new hires, cut all alphabet agency spending by 20 percent immediately, then 20 percent per year until they are all abolished. Easy to say but maybe impossible to do.
Bkmrk.
This guy:
I heard Mr. Trump talk about helping the family farmers - esp ending EPA regulations that are killing the family farms. And ending the taxes that kill the inheritance of the family farms. I hope he can win over the farmers in Iowa - we need their votes.
Ending the war must include ending the incentives. Stop subsidizing milk (should be $5+/gal), stop burning corn as fuel, etc. Much of the subsidies can’t be voluntarily refused without being destroyed by subsidised competition; farmers don’t want it, but can’t compete without it now.
Trump just won Iowa.
Start with getting rid of the USDA, the Bureau of Land Management and the EPA.
Way more of them than farmers that’s for sure.
A presidential candidate talking farming issues. Wow!
Been a long time. The only thing we have heard lately
is about the guvmint encouraging (funding) lesbians to
get into farming.
How is he going to fix all this stuff?
Wow, wow, wow! Talk about speech for sore ears. It seemed family farms were altogether forgotten as they struggle to remain and then along comes Donald Trump.
Give them more ethanol subsidies!
All I can say is, when the SHTF, you’d better know somebody who knows how to farm.
“Trump adds that he aims to protect the renewable fuel standard”...the ethanol mandate/subsidy needs to go away Mr. Trump. And the rest of the USDA’s $19 billion in “Farm and Commodity Programs” need to be looked at closely...the $600 billion yearly deficit and the $20 trillion debt isn’t going to fix itself.

Trump is right, the family farmer has been squeezed with regulation to make government controlled corporations harder to compete with. more money first america last policy..go trump
