"Illinois Supreme Court Democrat majority"
"Governor Bruce Rauner, who publicly supported the Fair Map Amendment effort, responded with frustration:
Today's ruling is a harsh reminder that the political system in Illinois is in need of major reforms. I hope the decision to deny voters the chance to consider the Independent Map redistricting referendum is appealed and reversed.
Independent redistricting is badly needed in our state. A stunning two-thirds of incumbents will be running unopposed in November. Thats certainly not because the politicians in charge are doing such a good job in Springfield. It means the system is broken.
Legislators in power could have placed the Independent Maps referendum directly on the ballot and avoided this court decision. Instead, they chose to play politics in an effort to protect their own power.
That is wrong."
Perhaps the judge is a more important election than the President
We live in an oligarchy of black-robed lawyers.
Maybe 500,000 petitioners should surround the state supreme court and effect a change in management. That technique needs to be applied more broadly to legislative bodies and appointees who ignore the fact that they are supposed to be representatives of the people and not rulers of the people.
I don't know if the Illinois matter relates to Congressional districting or districting for the U.S. House of Representatives. If it relates to the U.S. House, the State Legislature does indeed have ultimate authority for redistricting.
(Yes, I know of the Arizona decision. I'm just pointing out the plain text of the Constitution.)
Bears repeating.
Mike Madigan, the House Speaker (D. Chicago) led the charge to have the court deny us poor voters in Illinois the RIGHT to have our voices heard.
I cannot wait for Madigan to croak from some horrific cancer. He deserves it.

What difference does it make in Madiganistan.
Madigan's little girl, IL AG Lisa Madigan has been and continues to be groomed to fill the seat being currently warmed by Gov. Rauner.
I already feel it is over for this state. I came here because of a good job, and enjoy living in my small rural “red state” Illinois city. But, Democrat One Party Rule is killing a state that is rich with resources and should be near the top of every metric instead of near the bottom.
I have a good state legislator, but he is powerless because the Democrat majority controls what even comes up for discussion, much less a vote. Now the court has done the same thing to Illinois citizens that the US Supreme Court did with Obamacare, and what the FBI did with Hillary.
There IS a pattern here!
I’m not saying you’re wrong because neither of us can predict the future, but from what I’ve seen (with a few exceptions), Lisa Magigan has been a pretty decent Attorney General. Let us hope that the Corruption Gene is recessive in her!
State Democrat Single-Party Rule is just a precursor of U.S. Democrat Rule if Hillary is elected.

Vote Fraud and Poor Election Administration in California: Recent Examples
California has long had problems with vote fraud and poor election administration. Why does California have so many issues? Single-party rule in the state is one possible answer. Here are some of the remarkable recent examples of problems.
California has widespread problems with voter registration, leading to issues for the June 7 primary:
Questions about the security and integrity of California voter information have surfaced after Riverside Countys district attorney described several online tampering incidents in which residents party registration was changed without their knowledge. . . . Many voters who said their party affiliations werent correct ended up using provisional ballots, which take longer to count because the voters eligibility has to be verified, or not voting at all.
Another indication of the inaccuracy of California’s voter registration rolls is that hundreds of dead people have been voting in many recent elections:
A comparison of records by David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead voters in Southern California, a vast majority of them in Los Angeles County. He took a lot of time choosing his candidates, said Annette Givans of her father, John Cenkner. Cenkner died in Palmdale in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
There was double voting during the June 7 primary:
The June primary election exposed an unacceptable potential for voter fraud in California that the state Legislature must immediately fix. In just three counties, Contra Costa, Alameda and Santa Clara, 194 people voted twice, suggesting the abuse statewide might run into the thousands.

You are joking, or being sarcastic, aren’t you?
Get back to me when little Lisa pursues corruption charges against her father and the Democrat/Republican Cabal.

BGA leans on Lisa Madigan to attack corrupt politicians
Greg Hinz on Politics
As the state’s chief legal officer, Ms. Madigan holds a job that comes with one of Illinois’ best soapboxes, one that she’s used to sue subprime mortgage companies, payday lenders, polluters and lots of other unpopular types.
But now the Better Government Association is going after her with a vengeance, pretty much accusing the attorney general of ignoring her responsibility to attack Illinois’ unremitting culture of political corruption.
In a blog post that came out of a recent probe with WFLD-TV/Channel 32, BGA chief Andy Shaw declares that it is “time for AG Madigan to join anti-corruption fight.”
Mr. Shaw notes that when she first took office 12 years ago, Ms. Madigan issued a “declaration of war” on public corruption. But after busting up the Rosemont casino deal, she has stuck to reeling in “a couple of dozen small minnows from little corruption ponds, mostly downstate,” he writes.
“When it comes to bigger political fish in Chicago, Cook County and Springfield, she’s been standing on a pier watching the feds land them,” Mr. Shaw adds.
Dear Michael Madigan: If youre “not here for employers,” for whom are you here?

In a published report last month, Michael Madigan clearly displays his disdain for businesses. Im not here for employers says Madigan, as he pushes for a minimum wage referendum to appear on the ballot.
I am an employer, Speaker Madigan. I take offense to your remarks. Evidently, you do not represent me in Springfield, even though I willingly paid an additional 67 percent tax on my income. As an employer, I also sent 67 percent more tax from each of my 60-plus employees.
I was told the temporary increase was needed to satisfy billions in unpaid bills. My company believes in paying its bills in full, but evidently you do not. We held up our end of the bargain, Speaker Madigan what about you?
As an employer and owner of a bakery, we send food to the local PADS site in Elk Grove Village. We frequently donate products to local charities and school fundraising events. We recently donated 600 cookies in support of Military Care. Another bakery, owned by two former Marines, regularly supplies cookies for the troops. A simple, Thank you, would be appreciated. But what do you say, Mr. Madigan?
Im not here for employers
We have given minimum wage jobs to immigrants with limited skills. We provided opportunities to gain skills and increase their wages. Several are now top-tier bakers, raising families, buying homes and putting kids through college. How bout a high-five, Mike?
Im not here for employers
We have paid our bills. You have not. We have created jobs. You have not. We not misled the taxpayers (your employers), but you have, Michael Madigan. Youre not here for employers. Well, who are you here for?

... which is why businesses are fleeing ILLINOIS as fast as they can, and those who are stuck here (myself included) are left holding a GIGANTIC bag of legislated debt.
Judges are the new kings. We’re just pretending to be a Republic.
No lifetime appointments.
The government only wants the voters for the taxes
I was an independent contractor getting signatures for this amendment. 600,000 signatures and Madigan’s filthy fingers get this tossed.
From what I've seen, you appear to be living in an alternate universe. Little Lisa has been a worthless Democrat Party hack who uses her position to "go after" successful businesses rather than corruption, looks the other way at Daddy's dictatorial regime, and is to the LEFT of her daddy ideologically. I would rank her as the WORST elected official in the executive branch, hands down.
Princess Lisa, decent? I’ve read some strange opinions I never expected to find on FR before but...damn man.
