Peter Hart, a Democrat and one of the country’s most respected pollsters, admitted on Friday that Donald Trump can win the White House if he has “one sane month” on the campaign trail.
After conducting a focus group of Wisconsin voters last night for the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center, Hart appeared on MSNBC’s “MTP Daily” and said voters “don’t trust Clinton to give them an honest answer and they don’t trust Trump to be a safe leader.”
When host Chuck Todd asked Hart which candidate had the best chance of winning the election and undecided voters after conducting the focus group if he had no idea of any of the current poll numbers, Hart said that Trump did because he has the “better hand.”
“I say that as a Democratic pollster,” Hart said, adding that though voters think Trump is “crazy” and “off the board,” if “he had a sane month, which is probably impossible, he would get a full listen from these voters. They still want change and they’re unhappy with what’s going on.”(continued)

Does it really matter if he makes what’s perceived as a gaffe sometimes?
BTW, 2nddivisionvet, you so seamlessly got behind Trump even though I knew you liked Ted, after Trump won. That’s a very admirable thing. But after your service to our great country, not surprising.

Having said that and I’m sure 2nd will agree, I hope they put Perry up against Cornyn vs Ted because I still like Ted.
Although like 2nd, I’m voting for Trump. We need to get the people together to win, the Supreme Court is too important to let it swing liberal for the next few decades. If that happens it’s game over.
Every month is a “sane month” for Donald Trump. It is only the scum of the establishmentarians who concoct these smears against Trump.
To combat fraud and election shenanigans Trump will have to be up 10 points at least before election day.
Hey I might live and have lived in Texas for a long time now but I’m from Philly. I know how ward leaders can manipulate over 100% of the people to vote and vote 1 way.

Pollsters are starting to calibrate what they say. They don’t want to look as stupid as they did during the GOP primary season.
A sane month is not only Trump being on message as opposed to twittering about extraneous and personal considerations. It’s also about us countering the tremendous advertising and ground game of the other side.
Trump has yet to start advertising. I figure Hillary is tipping the scales by 5 to 10 points based on unanswered advertising. Republicans generally don’t have anywhere as near as much money as Democrats and simply have to withstand the the early advertising. In 2008, McCain was overwhelmed. In 2012, Romney was outspent but not as badly.
A month to six weeks of matching their advertising with ours should balance things out. If Trump is within 5 points at this stage of the campaign, he is in good position to win.
Because we don’t have anywhere as much money as they do, the orders are to not fire until we see the whites of their eyes. It’s not the first time we’ve been given orders like this.

I live on the equator out in the Pacific. We can get to 40 on Christmas day. 40 degrees Celsius.

I think it goes back to this, many people don’t realize that in those big NE cities in those days Trump like myself probably hung out and cracked jokes at each other and everybody for that matter and we laughed like crazy often times even the guy getting cracked on.
Like Trump having a nickname for everybody I think it’s a corner thing and most people who haven’t ever been around that type of thing looks at it as a bit revolting.
One thing I do like about Trump and like myself, if I have a nickname for ya like piper Dustin or Thievin John, I’m not afraid to say it to your face and call you out on it. Yep, I guess even still at 60, I’m still looking for a fight. Funny though, and I don’t know why, but nobody ever steps up.

Everyone’s got a nickname here. We used to call my friend, whose last name was Enia, GuineuUH, :) And we were all italians!!
Most people would be shocked how little PC actually goes on in some parts of NYC (that includes Staten Island and Brooklyn.
Old school Italian and Irish couldn’t give a flying ##### about PC.
