Here’s just how Orwellian the American college campus has become. A student government president suspends one of his vice presidents (apparently he has the authority to do that, or he doesn’t but he did it anyway) because of an opinion she expressed. Then, he informs everyone that his action in no way violated her freedom of speech.
Next: I consume a chicken and the slaughtered chicken is entirely unaffected by what happened.
Insanity.
So what happens when you say "some lives DON'T Matter"? And is the Univ of Houston not in the US where Freedom of Speech is guaranteed?
I wish she hadn’t shown contrition. She should have told them to take a hike to hell and then filed a big fat lawsuit.

I can understand this happening in California or New York, but why on Earth does the Texas legislature let Texas state schools engage in this authoritarian nonsense? There needs to be hearings where the administrators and professors are grilled over this BS.

The silence of the ACLU is deafening. U Houston is a public school so the strictest scrutiny applies here.
Every student, Black, White Hispanic or Asian should walk out of this Gulag.
If you liberals think only black lives matter and no one else’s lives matter, then just start killing us. Seriously, start with me...because I don’t want to live in YOUR world.
File a lawsuit against the university demanding they return all tuition plus damages and lost potential future revenue.
These stupid snowflakes don’t realize that they are paying customers who are purchasing an education from these so-called universities.
They really need to start smacking down these universities and colleges for failure to render services that were paid for.
They’re a business just like any other business, and their business is education, not social justice programs.

The University is not responsible,the SGA is, and they are an independent organization==with it’s own rules.

Rather misleading, the student was suspended from the Student Government, not from school.
Our local Republican Club wore and sold All Lives Matter T shirts at the county Fair last week. We got so many compliments and thumbs up on them — too many to count.
Colleges are becoming the liberal’s SS.
It is Houston - not really Texas...
