While Muslims try to use our Constitution against us, the reality is their arguments are empty. They cannot use against us what they don't fully understand, and what was written to protect us against totalitarian ideologies like theirs
A woman came up to me at a Unite IE meeting last night very concerned about the attack Khizr Muazzam Khan laid on Trump with his TheConstitution forbids a religious test in the vetting of immigrants claim. Is it true? she asked.
Khizr Khan is the father of a deceased Muslim U.S. soldier who slammed Donald Trump during his Democrat National Convention speech, claiming the GOP nominee lacks empathy and a moral compass. The media has been all over it, saying that Trump attacked the father of a U.S. war hero. As Khan levied his attack against Trump, the Republican nominee in the 2016Presidential Election tweeted, Mr. Khan, whodoes not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same - Nice! Mr. Trump followed up with, This story is not about Mr. Khan, who is all over the place doing interviews, but rather RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM and the U.S. Get smart!
Allahwahoo Amendbar!
Last time I checked, we are not under any obligation to allow a single immigrant, or even tourist for that matter, from anywhere.
The 14th Amendment explicitly grants Equal Protection of privileges to ALL CITIZENS. The 14th defines citizenship precisely so it can specify who is covered by Equal Protection.
Non-Citizens are not covered by Equal Protection.
Progressives see hidden penumbra in the 14th. Just as the old Constitution didn’t give equal protection to women or slaves, likewise it doesn’t give it to non-citizens. But Progressives know that such thinking is regressive. Progressives must include all identity groups covered by the 14th.
Thus, felons must receive Equal Protection of the law with voter registration.... Of course, voting is a privilege there is no such thing as voting rights.
But confusing privileges and rights is common to both progressives and conservatives, despite the authors being very careful in self-consciously choosing which word to use where.
Rights come from God. Privileges come from government when government exercises its Power to create privileges.
Gooberment cannot create rights but they sure are good at suppressing them.
They not only lack any right, bringing in refugees from Syria is a 100% discretionary decision by Obama / Hillary. It has no basis except only in their decision to do it.
The idea that we suddenly HAVE TO bring millions of Muslims here is absurd.
