“I agree 100%. The poster is making up his/her own world view with prejudice. “

Me ?

Are you not aware of multiple members of a single racial organization carrying out attacks on a specific race in a specific profession ?

In my office, things are fine. We all work together and are all what would be considered mid-executive positions, making very decent salaries.

The DMV offices may be different. They tend to be lower wage employees coming out of the hood. They may be a little more curt. Not all, mind you.

In other words, I do not feel this is as much an issue with color as it is an issue with upbringing and of course, social media.
Where there is a financial struggle and a lack of education, there tends to be violence and racism. There is ghetto-trash and there is white trash. When a cop shoots a felon, like in Louisiana and everyone comes out of the woodwork, it is due to social media screaming it is racist and the trash reacting. Without doing any homework. Once the info comes out, they move to, “It was different with him, this time!”.

The case in Mn, thus far, gives reason for office discussion. Yet it is civilized. It is more of, “What the hell happened?” And not, why did that racist cop shoot? As the “facts” come out, it gets more confusing. We don’t fall for the, “He was a felon”, “He was a gangbanger” and “He didn’t have a conceal carry” because the facts prove otherwise.
For now.
Maybe we will all change our opinions as time goes on.
Conspiracy doesn’t work in our office, though. We call it out immediately. Ask for proof.

Anyway, that is one persons view of white and black, office politics.

In 1950, if you were black and walked into a suburban diner, you would get your a$$ kicked too.

Things were different in 1950.

vSo many other things can happen to the child or the mom or anyone else involved. why speak such fear and bad things onto a child?

Yes, this ONE child may NOT grow to be what the OP claims can happen. But, millions have already grown up this way.

Have you ever been in an all black neighborhood in a city? They have nothing to look forward to. They sit in bunches on porches and stare at cars as they drive by. How many of them actually produce something or contribute to society? How many of them have been taught that they have a responsibility as members of this society to say "No" to the bad things in life and keep others out of it as well?

What DOES the future hold for millions of people who have the free time to march in cities and clog up roads with their "protests"? What responsibilities are they forgoing in order to be present at those protests? Are they taking a day off of work?

How many of them already hate white people just because they are white? Ten percent, twenty percent or even fifty percent? Ten percent of the black population is a pretty high number. How, or what, will open their eyes to civic responsibility and lawfulness?

Tell us. There are some of us who are afraid that there is no hope of redemption for a very large group of people in this country. Please, tell us how we are wrong?

Right, just the blind, cloistered view that's gotten us into this trouble. People deliberately turning a blind eye to the problem thinking, "Someone will handle it so I don't have to think about it."

Not all the world is a "mid-executive position" world.

Just like the BLM and professional race baiting racists, you are making up a story that fits your world view. Worse, you’re ascribing one to an innocent little girl based on your prejudice. Do you know the definition of the word “prejudice”? Serious question.

“In the ghetto”

As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin’
A poor little baby child is born
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

And his mama cries
Cause if there’s one thing that she don’t need
It’s another hungry mouth to feed
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

People, don’t you understand
The child needs a helping hand
Or he’ll grow to be an angry young man some day
Take a look at you and me,
Are we too blind to see,
Do we simply turn our heads

And look the other way
Well the world turns
And a hungry little boy with a runny nose
Plays in the street as the cold wind blows
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

And his hunger burns
So he starts to roam the streets at night
And he learns how to steal
And he learns how to fight
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

Then one night in desperation
A young man breaks away
He buys a gun, he steals a car,
He tries to run, but he don’t get far
And his mama cries
As a crowd gathers ‘round an angry young man
Face down on the street with a gun in his hand
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

As her young man dies,
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin’,
Another little baby child is born
In the ghetto
(In the ghetto)

And his mama cries

The ONLY thing that can, and will, improve the condition of our American society as a whole, and the black community specifically is this:

More. Black. Entrepreneurs.

Business must be brought to this culture. Black owned business has multiple times the good effect on that community than in anywhere else.

Nothing brings people out of the dark and hopeless like business.

Read and learn:

I'm reminded of "Virtuosity". That movie featured a virtual reality criminal who wasn't just parts of other violent criminal profiles... "He wasn't created from other violent criminals. He was born and raised in the same room with all of them." SID's mind and personality weren't taught to him, they were grown in him.

Not blind. Just not going to play to the trash of the world. There is nothing much to discuss when a dangerous felon is shot. You break the law and try to pull a gun on a cop? Bang. No matter what color you are.
If you are of the mindset that we need to all sit together and discuss race relations based on some dirtbag being shot, then you are very similar to the BLM group.

As far as your statement that “someone will handle it so I don’t have to think about it”? You must not have read my reply. I mentioned the issue in Minneapolis is quite different and that there has been discussion on that. I know it probably disappoints you but the discussion is more of a “what the hell happened” thing. We actually discuss it. We aren’t throwing punches or making accusations that all black people deserve this because they are all crooked.

Quite honestly, there isn’t a lot of time for us all to sit around and discuss every person in the world who was shot the day before. My office is busy and our job is not in race relations.

I’ve got the good news and the bad news; first the good news. It is easy to find black entrepreneurs. The bad news is that you don’t find many in America. Blacks from Jamaica are entrepreneurial; they are known in some circles as “black Jews.” Unfortunately that is not meant as a compliment.

IMHO the cultural problem should be addressed by a “back from Africa” movement. Americans should be encouraged to visit Africa for months or years. Long enough to want to kiss the tarmac when they return. That would tend to happen, for the simple reason that as much as they critique America, they do so from a modern American perspective. Get away from America, and if you find somewhere else you like better, well and good. If not . . .
