A day later, I’m still trying to make sense of why James Comey would choose to do what he did yesterday. If you just don’t want to recommend charges against Hillary, the logical move would be to say as little as possible, talk about how the case doesn’t rise to the level of prosecution, and leave the stage.
By talking at length about all the evidence that clearly shows Hillary was guilty of at least gross negligence in her handling of classified information – which is absolutely a criminal violation regardless of intent – he might as well have been waving a banner that proclaimed “The Fix Is In.”
If he had ended his statement by resigning, the above would mean something.
But he’s just another chicken saving himself at the expense of the country he took an oath to preserve and protect.

They’ve no problem with Hillary not being prosecuted, obeying laws is for peons, only with pointing out that she’s not as blameless as a newborn.
The left is like that old song: tell us lies, tell us sweet little lies...
But tell the truth about one of their own and they squeel like piggies.
Comey had a choice
His family is healthy
He keeps it that way
But in addition to carrying out Obama's orders, Comey was forced to own the final decision himself by making the idiotic declaration of "no reasonable prosecutor would ever bring charges in a case like this." Obama got a two-fer: humiliate Comey (whom he probably hates), and insulate Lynch with political cover ("Don't look at me, I'm just 'accepting' what the FBI Director recommended.")
Comey then retaliates with his announcement. He said no one knew he was making an announcement, or knew what he was going to say. I believe that. Yes, the no indictment part was baked into the cake already, but, it was that first part of the announcement, the part where he itemized all of Hillary's lies and guilt - that was the part no one knew he was going to say. It was Comey's way of making the Dems sweat for a while, and to dirty-up Hillary as much as he could before doing Obama's bidding.
My question is this: How come there was no mention of the USB drive!?! The handling of that was another violation of several laws?

Most of me thinks the same, but knowing the Clinton's penchant for snuffing out their opponents, they may have upped the ante on this one by threatening Comey's family members. It's one thing to risk your own life, but how many of us would want to be in that unenviable position?
Instead of trashing Comey, I've decided to view it in a positive way (mainly to keep my blood pressure in normal range!)
This needs to be a warning for future political/govt appointees of the Dems and the GOPe (i.e. The UniParty): Don't take the job if you're not willing to be put in this impossible situation. You KNOW how crooked they are!
Also, Comey actually gave Trump a gift — an extremely flawed candidate. If Trump plays this right, many Dems will stay home in Nov rather than vote for Hillary. And many will vote for Trump, more people than were going to already. The trick here is if Trump can stay focused and ignore the "death by a thousand cuts" insults that will be coming his way. This Twitter-esque, spontaneous personality trait is fine in business, but his family needs to convince him it makes him an easy target in politics. It is what it is, and he needs to display extra 'cool-headedness' just to offset and upset Hillary's game plan of portraying him as "The Impulsive Don."
And finally, Comey just showed the NeverTrumpers what's in store for our Republic if they continue trashing Trump and splitting his support — Hillary may win. The only NeverTrumpers who won't be influenced and persuaded by this very public display of a corrupt, two-tiered legal system ("one for Thee and another for Me") are the Establishment Elites. They are the corrupt UniParty who masquerade as Conservatives and will ALWAYS put Self before Country in the end. (The TPP fiasco is a good example). Trump has already exposed most of them, but Comey's inaction and refusal to enforce the rule of law among the Elites will leave NO doubt about who has chosen the Clinton Crime Syndicate over Freedom & Liberty. (Incidentally, I saw that "Republican" Rick Wilson on MSNBC within hours of Comey's announcement. That guy has some serious issues.)
Finally, never forget: God is controlling this. I firmly believe that if enough of us are left who will turn to Him, He will save us from the fate of becoming a totalitarian country.

He had his own life to take before he betrayed MILLIONS of Americans. He chose the cowardly way and a pension no doubt. The man deserves to be trashed along with every other Obama ass-sucking piece of anti-truth, anti-freedom filth.
This 'gift' he gave Trump is one devoid of legitimate government sanction or endorsement on any level. What he 'gave' Trump is free license to deride an evil government we all know we have, but a ride that is not supported by any quarter of an honorable government. It is corrupt and evil through and through right down to the security guards and the secretaries, frankly.
Indeed, your comment about Trump being an extremely flawed candidate is acceptance bullsh!t and defeatist at best. Any sunshine one can dig out from this is a futile diversion that puts the onus on right triumphing over evil. Americans don't have to accept that - they should condemn it LOUDLY and VEHEMENTLY with very ounce of their being. In my opinion, Comey's offal pronouncement is the foulest shit up with which we should not put.

No, I am not saying that their names will be capped like dictators. It was just a side note that sometimes spell checking software does have a political bias. I am not comparing Hillary to Hitler either. The witch hasn’t had a chance to kill millions of her fellow countrymen yet. However, Clinton clearly enjoyed practicing genocide on Christians and other minorities in the Middle East through her “Arab Spring” fiasco while at the same time arming our enemies.
I am amazed that Comey did not just comment on the case he was supposed to be talking about. Instead, he seemed to be engaged in damage control. He described her behavior as reckless and careless, but no competent prosecutor would indict her.
Can anyone please tell me how he could have done better as an apologist or a damage control propagandist?
