Ok if you say so...

No, you said so by decontextualizing my quote.

Who are you working for, soldier?

And do you really believe they'll protect you?

Read up on some history of that.

Who are you working for, soldier?

I'm (trying to, failing many times) work for Jesus Christ.

He isn't the most important thing.

He's the only "thing" the only answer to all of this mess. And every single person on this planet, liberal or conservative American or non American has the exact same infinite desire for Him. He is thus the only solution for everyone's desires, because every one is a human being created in the image and likeness of God thus created with an infinite desire for Him. This desire always ends up getting twisted into a desire for other, temporal things first. Not that temporal things are bad but when out before God, as always happens when we dehumanize our "opponents", the proper order of things is perverted, and no one ever "wins"

Until and unless we all come to see this reality we will always fail. We always fail without Christ. We always fail when we put Him aside, in any situation, any discussion, and rely on our own ideas our own plans to solve a problem or "win" a debate. He should be front and center in every aspect of reality because reality (or objective data, from the word "datum" which means something given) is something given by God for our benefit. Thus only when we can not only see Christ in every situation but invite Him in to be the ruler of every NANOsecond of the day, we will fail. Period.

This is how I fail many times, by trying to "win" arguments instead of inviting Christ into situations. I fail when I dehumanize those who disagree with me (on any subject) instead of recognizing they are just like me with the same desire for Christ; the only difference (sometimes) being they haven't met Him. The true starting point isn't facts or figures but getting someone to recognize their true human nature, which is a desire for Christ. Once someone can recognize that the rest falls into line.

I'm not any better than anyone. I just know what I wrote above is fact. And this is all I've been saying to you (just in different words)
