After 150 years, Jack Daniels has finally revealed that a slave was behind the world-famous recipe of America's most popular whisky.
Until now, the story told was that a white moonshine distiller named Dan Call had taught his young apprentice, Jasper Newton 'Jack' Daniel, how to run his Tennessee distillery.

And slaves built the White House and the Capitol, and slavery somehow financed the building of Georgetown University, and Brown University, among others I’m sure.
So what? Why are we hearing so much in recent years, about slavery? Everyone who was ever a slave is dead and buried. Everyone who ever owned a slave, or profited from slavery, is long dead.

Please don't tell me they'll be asking for reparations based on this.

Ironically, great-great-grandaddy 867V309 taught Mr Goodyear how to make rubber, and great-great-great-great-granmammy 867V309 taught Mr Pillsbury how to make pancakes. Go figger.

great-great-grandaddy 867V309 taught Mr Goodyear how to make rubber... Funny that you should mention all that. Because my great-grandfather, Slanting Right, told Albert Einstein that E=mc^2.
Before that, Einstein thought that E=mc^3.

and in 1820 or thereabouts America GAVE the slaves freed in America an opportunity to repatriate.
Liberia West Africa was given to them with loads of cash each and every year.....
Their capital was called Monrovia after James Monroe, the president of the US of A at that time.
Who needs reparations? they were all given a Country to call their own, and look what they did to it! lol
They still had slavery there in 1999.

The story was written by a “white guilt” leftist. Period.
If a black slave did help to invent Jack Daniels whiskey, let’s give him credit for it. History is supposed to be “objective and truthful” so we have nothing to fear from the “truth”, even at this late date.
Now, in order to make this story into one of today’s Left’s “guilt trips”, let’s blame the slave for making a whiskey that made drunks out of his own people in the future. Well, that should level out things, shouldn’t it?
It is so easy to play the “blame game” esp. if you’re not willing to be part of it. We got ride of slavery in 1863/65. The British got rid of it earlier but in 1840 or so, took control of the opium trade from China.
Now look at heroin/opium addiction around the world, esp. in England. Let’s blame the “Daily Mail” and the people of England today for this continuing epidemic of addiction.
See! They are fair game for the turnabout game.
We demand reparations for our drug addicts.

Every African-American Studies major this side of the lazy laughing South with blood on its mouth knows that distillation itself was a byproduct of black ingenuity, the 'still' having been invented by African-Saxon "Blaxon" Shooky "Wet Boots" Washington in what is now known as England long before the Norman invasion was first repelled when General Jefferson "Empty Pockitts" Dupree led his gilded Bling-Kings urban Viking hordes in the revolutionary loot-counterloot pincer maneuver still known to West Point boys as the Phalanx-You-Ma'am strategy.
What is not so well-known is that the idea for this very site, F. R., sprang from the myriad mind of Red "Loopy-Loo" Watson and his sidekick Sh'Qua-an "Boo" Davis of 1970's Apple fame. In those days, of course, a black man simply could not start a business in America, so with the help of Democrat operatives descended from both Andrew Jackson and Harriet Tubman and a "free use" grant by internet inventor Albert "Grizzly Corn" Gore, the white alias "Jim..." was used for business and public relations purposes, and FR was born.

Well, great great great granddaddy Saxophonist, before there were saxophones, was an indentured servant, not a slave. Taught Stradivari how to make violins.
Couple of generations later, taught Adolphe Sax a few things.
And after coming to America, still in indentured servitude, helped invent Maker's Mark.
