The U.S. has admitted about 4,000 Syrian refugees, the State Department said Wednesday. That's a higher number than was believed, but still well short of the goal of 10,000 refugees by the end of September.
State Department spokesman John Kirby said the number of refugees admitted is "up around 4,000 now." The most recent number had been 2,500 refugees.
The plan to admit 10,000 refugees, which President Obama proposed in September, has been met with contempt from Republican lawmakers who claim accepting these refugees is a threat to national security.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was one of 31 governors to protest the admission of Syrian refugees last fall, and voiced Republicans' concerns that "opening our door to [the refugees] irresponsibly exposes our fellow Americans to unacceptable peril."
The State Department maintains that each refugee is thoroughly vetted before being granted entry into the U.S., even if it slows the process down.
According to the State Department, "the total processing time varies depending on an applicant's location and other circumstances, but the average time from the initial [U.N. Refugee Agency] referral to arrival as a refugee in the United States is about 18-24 months."
Kirby said the department "take[s] the goal that the president set very seriously" and will make good on the promise come the end of September.

If true, it follows that Obama admitted from 80 to 280 would be wanna be, or actual terrorists.

Today’s news: Hoax internet story includes Luna County

(Deming) - Many local residents were interested in a recent story being run by the online blogger Judicial Watch, in which they stated that Local Luna County Sheriff’s deputies , “have apprehended an undocumented, Middle Eastern woman in possession of the region’s gas pipeline plans.”
In checking with the Luna County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon, we were told the story is 100% false. KOTS and KDEM News asked if there had been any traffic stops by officers where they came across a Middle Eastern Woman, or if they had come across any gas pipeline plans during any traffic stop. We were told definitely no, and that the Sheriff’s Department feels that the entire story seems to have been entirely made up.
In a official statement released to the media, Luna County Sheriff John Mooradian said Wednesday evening that the website claiming a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop and detained a terrorism suspect is false. No such stop or arrest has been made in Luna County. Local residents are assured that the Luna County Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant for any threats to public safety, but the information posted online is false.
In the article dated June 15th, 2016... Judicial Watch used unnamed sources, throughout the story, but credited the Luna County Sheriff’s Department by name.
Judicial Watch, Inc., calls itself a conservative, non-partisan educational foundation, promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law.
Again, the Luna County Sheriff Department told us that there is absolutely no credibility to the online story.

Obama is a racist bigot who hates Anglos and makes it a point to put everyone else in the USA and world at a higher priority.
Congress controls the purse strings so why don’t they pull the purse strings on any project they oppose? Is it because they are gutless wonders, and not a co-equal branch of government as Ryan says, and are afraid of being called non PC?
