And yet, embracing Christ, we rise from our failures and live a life that improves with each day. Our sins are not excused; they are forgiven, when such faith prevails. We are as blind men learning to see, or lame men learning to walk, even though our blindness and lameness may have gotten there by our own prior faults.
Acceptance of the reality of the fall of mankind is only a show stopper to those who want to base their lives on themselves (and then, perhaps, hope to get God’s kudos on the result in the end). It is not a show stopper to those who want to base their lives on God. Those who know they need the most help, end up with the best results in the end because the results have an eternal foundation.
Makes no sense to choose Hell.
But then you have saved believers who, having “begun by the Spirit”, attempt to be perfected by the flesh. Now THAT is an unnecessary hell if ever there was one! Yet millions walk into into, troubled by frustraters of God’s grace. Get out from under grace and sin WILL seize the opportunity afforded by the commandment!
I’m happy salvation depends on God’s mercy and not our effort (Rom. 9:16)!
The nature of love apparently requires that being able to refuse it be possible on some plane; otherwise the result is puppetry and not love. An omnipotent God won’t force salvation because it is a love relationship.
Much of the Arminian-Calvinist debate hinges on just what kind of plane that is. Some choices appear to be made on an eternal plane, and others, on the plane of time.
So I kid about being Calminian. Salvations once validly started will continue to the end and will also display evidence of the presence of the fire of that holy love. It becomes clear that I would never truly choose to abandon that a second time, as all our souls once did in some kind of mysterious unity with the folly of Adam in the Garden.
The devil is looking for the bad side of what we do; God is looking for the good side of it.

That may be true, but there’s a lot of women who reject their position under the husband. Even common sense tells you that like covering a boat with a tarp by first climbing a ladder to get higher than the boat, the wife being “covered” must be willing to let the husband be in a higher potion in order for her to be covered. That is why the FIRST commands in 1 Peter 3:1-6, Ephesians 5:22, and Colossians 3:18 are to the WIFE.

Ephesians 5:22, and Colossians 3:18 tell the wives that as they surrender to the Lord (in love for Him), they should surrender to their husbands. The implication is if wives don’t understand God’s love for them and don’t surrender to Him, they will have difficulty surrendering to their husbands. Such is the case in today in a society that began turning its back on God some 100 years ago or so.
1 Peter 3:1-6 also tells wives that they are to be in subjection to their husbands regardless of the husband’s example (v.1) and also tells wives of the great value and esteem God holds them for doing so (v.4).
How the woman & wife behaves is primarily between the woman and God, not between the woman and the man.
Interesting and insightful comment. Thank you. I’ll have to ask the Lord to show me this stuff as we know many current events are taking us to the brink of the time of the tribulation in the Book of Revelation and, in this case, the application and surge of the “Whore of Babylon”.

“Covering their heads” is not the point of this thread. The point of this thread is “The head of the woman is the man”, as the title states. It’s about the women’s movement as a rebellious and utterly destructive occurrence in today’s society

If you are a Christian, you should know better.

Why do you expect heathen women to behave like Christian women ? Heathen men surely do not behave like Christian men and they and they encourage women to not behave like Christian women .
The trouble with our society is it has turned away from God.
The truth is no respecter of persons. The truth still the truth whether the hearer is saved or unsaved, and it is the word that will save them.
And although many Christian women have taken of the Performance Tree, the root cause of our societal ills are, as you say, a turning from faith in God to a faith in man, which is cursed.
