Libertarian Nominee Gary Johnson Says He Agrees With Socialist Sanders 73% Of The Time

Libertarian candidate for President Gary Johnson tells a caller on C-SPAN that he agrees with socialist Bernie Sanders 73% of the time. This is the guy that a bunch of NeverTrumpers have decided to support. Most people might think it odd that a self-described libertarian would have so much in common with a socialist. After all, Bernie Sanders has premised his entire political career on expanding the size and scope of government to the point that it smothers individuals, families, and private associations like churches. Religion is the opiate of the masses, after all. Sanders even took his honeymoon in communist-era Moscow. So, what gives?

Yes, if there were a true libertarian party, then I would be one.

Open borders in the presence of any welfare state whatsoever is not libertarianism.

It’s not unusual to find libertarians expending much more energy trashing the military, criminal law enforcement, and what remains of our moral standards than fighting for economic freedom.
