Just before the midterm election of 2014, Vice President Joe Biden made another of those insightful statements for which he will be forever remembered. Joe told CNN News that, "if you look at every single major issue of the campaign, the American public agree with [the White House] position." But if the vice presidents laugh-line-du-jour were actually true, why would his fellow liberals want to do away with the midterm election before Obama supporters had the opportunity to show just how loyal they really were?
It seems a public policy professor and a junior at Duke University had written an Op-Ed piece for the New YorkTimes in which they decided that the 2 year [election] cycle isnt just unnecessary; its harmful to American politics. The authors maintained that after a president with a well-developed agenda (such as that of Hope and Change) enters the White House the midterm election cripples that same presidents ability to advance that agenda.
Of course its just possible that midterm voters want no more of that well-developed agenda after 2 years have revealed what it is actually about.
There are 2 simple reasons that the left would want to end midterm elections. First, since World War II, Democrat presidents have lost an average of 31 House seats and 4-5 Senate seats in midterms, while Republican presidents have lost...

Why doesn’t the left just admit that they want to exterminate all white Americans (excluding the elite leftists.)?
Pesky Honkeys.
Nothing but typical liberal racism.
They want a One-Party State.
Silly old constitution. It’s a living document, they should be able to interpret 2 years as “whatever is expedient” /s
What do the American Left and Manson’s Helter Skelter plan have in common?
Quite a lot.
The difference between mid-term elections and presidential elections illustrate the power and influence of the media cartel.
The most egregious concentration of power in the media cartel is at the national level. Without a presidential race to concentrate on, the power of the cartel to set the agenda and to guide public opinion is reduced. Thus, mid term elections rely more on local and new media to inform and motivate voters.
Without the motivation and propaganda from the media cartel, conservatives do better.
Good points! I have a better idea than doing away with the midterms. Let’s make the presidency a two year term. Then we’d have a chance to get them out of there and they’d be too busy campaigning to do as much damage.
I think general elections attract too many non-white voters.
Like elections actually matter?
I should have gone into government, banking...
GOOD
Now let's move on to restrict them to a single term.
All of them.
ALL OF THEM!
Moving one step closer to the totalitarian ideal of "one man, one vote, once". I wonder if the professor will feel the same way in 2018 after two years of President Trump.
I hope all “white” Americans continue to have as many children as they can. Keep these weirdo minorities in the minority. Demography is destiny.
It was humorous, but made some significant points about the culture. I can recommend it, but it's not for the racially sensitive.
I remember when LBJ proposed changing Congressional terms to four years. That would have done away with the need for midterm elections (other than for Senators—maybe he thought they should get 8-year terms).
