In Search of the Black Vote

Re-write of an older article – updated for the modern Trump era

There have been many who have wondered why the black population in America votes solidly democrat. The percentages have become so one-sided that one side assumes they can say anything and still get ‘the black vote’, while the other believes nothing they say will win the black vote, so why bother.

I believe that could change in today’s political climate with the right message and strategy. But first, let’s review why most blacks ‘allegedly’ vote democrat. It may not be for the reasons you think.

The suffering in this economic downturn has no color boundary. Most of those on the lower economic scale stay there or digress while as we all know; many in the middle class have joined the ranks. Despite all this, the majority of working-aged blacks are employed, and not on welfare. Yes, just as the media paints a false image of the typical Caucasian as racist, the same is done for black Americans. The key here is the employer.

In America, the largest employers of black people are governments – local, state, and federal. Government employees as a whole (military personnel excluded) vote majority democrat. This too, crosses all racial boundaries. Thus a large part of the black population votes democrat.

Add to that, those who are on some type of public assistance. In this case, especially in lower income, higher crime areas, the culture is so clouded from the rest of America that some only know to vote for one party, as they were automatically enrolled as democrats to keep the ‘urban political machine’ going. Still that is only part of the reason.

These are the known reasons. However I have opined before about a more criminal, sinister reason for the heavy democrat vote in pre-dominantly black areas of the country.

Outside of watching a typical television news program, or text from a newspaper, what are the political leanings of your typical black American – you know – the one’s corporate America targets in their commercials?

NOTE: If all blacks were poor and simply looking for handouts the way the media portrays us, there would be no need to include blacks in every commercial, but I digress…

Here are some of the common opinions if black Americans:

• Pro 2nd Amendment: Some of the key cases that were won in the courts supporting the right to keep and bear arms were brought forth by black plaintiffs. And no what the party affiliation, people living in dangerous communities need (and therefore want) to protect themselves – especially when they believe law-enforcement can’t or won’t.

• Pro Faith: Despite trends, the majority of black Americans not only consider themselves Christians, but are more cognizant of the relationships (or lack thereof) between Christians and the Muslim/Islamic community.

• Pro-Life: along with being pro-faith, and despite abortion mills strategically placed in the black community, birth rates among blacks remain higher than whites. Most black folks (from their upbringing) believe your sexual preference is a choice, while your sexual gender is not.

• Anti-immigration: The wholesale emigration of other (sometimes hostile) cultures into America has a direct impact on black Americans when it comes to completion for employment, political power, and the fabric of their community.

• Pro American jobs: This one should be obvious, and any job shipped outside the country hurts everyone, with those struggling hurt the most.

• Pro School Choice/School Vouchers: in most cases, the Black parents are the loudest voice calling for an alternative to a failing education system – voices that unfortunately fall in deaf democrat ears. Of course these are not positions that are embraced by the political left, so why are all the black votes democrat no matter who the opponent is? Because of (and here’s the biggest issue that I left out of the above list):

Vote fraud.

Whenever the issue of voter ID comes up, the screams come from the left that blacks will be intimidated from voting if force to get government identification. Saying blacks fear government id is like equating forcing schools to allow boys unto girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms with the segregated bathroom of the Jim Crow era (don’t believe me? Mention these similarities to a black person you know and watch their reaction – just don’t stand too close).

As stated earlier, the chief employer of black American is government – meaning valid identification is not a problem. And for those who think that the large numbers of blacks are on some type of public assistance (even short term unemployment), that too requires some kind of government identification.

Ever notice the most vocal activists in the courts against voter id are not black?

It would stand to reason that as the left champions the fight against voter id, and since voter fraud can only be fought against by knowing who is supposed to be voting (via some kind of id), voter fraud is and has been among the most powerful tools in their electoral arsenal. It would also make sense to use it in areas that are intimidated against reasonable challenges and in places where no one would expect a different outcome anyway. Just look at some of the recent elections where the democrat candidate received over 100% of the total vote in certain precincts. Those are not anomalies, and in fact, have happened long before blacks were even voting majority democrat (google Tammany Hall).

What if an important election happened, and the democrat/established candidate only received say – 65% of the black vote in actuality instead of the usual +90%? Answer: that percentage can easily be forged upwards since the higher number was the expected outcome and besides, “who really wants to go into the hood and challenge it?”

This brings us to politics, circa 2016. For the opposition candidate (presidential, congressional or lower tiered election), voter id to battle against voter fraud is a must issue to bring to the forefront. In fact, coupled with immigration, it can become the winning pair of issues. Based on the attitudes of black Americans stated above, this author predicts that if that community knew the policies enacted in the second term of this administration were coming, the outcome of the previous presidential elections could have been vastly different.

NOTE: Vote fraud is a major issue within the black community as well. But like school vouchers, don’t expect this to reach the top fold of the New York Times or the lead on CNN any time soon.

Some democrats have been caught on tape stating the primary reason for the importation of illegals is their mission to sign them up as democrat voters. With the direct impact illegals are having on the black community, this issue is a foot in the door in reaching this voter demographic.

There’s no need to reach all, but peeling off 20% of the black vote can turn a blue state red. One does not have to be white to see the dark clouds forming over this nation. Perhaps with changing body politic of 2016, it is time for the Real American to reach out to a long forgotten voting constituency, so that we may stand united against a storm that is most assuredly coming.

Democrats make sure Blacks in urban areas get little education. It keeps their machine running. It costs something like $5.00 to give $1.00 to a welfare recipient.

There have been many who have wondered why the black population in America votes solidly democrat.

I think a fair percentage of them do not vote all - but are nonetheless being "voted" by inner-city Democrat operatives.

Their lines of defense? Attempting to prove it makes you a racist. Actually proving it would make you a tyrant. GOPe would never go there, but some day someone will.

For Africans, welfare, other handouts, affirmative action handouts, etc. trump all other considerations combined. Africans will still vote 90% plus for the rat party.

My belief is different. I believe ALL people of all colors are more comfortable when they find their thinking encapsulated into a bumper-sticker sized container. Thinking is hard. The great majority of people would really prefer that whatever happens to them is explainable in a phrase of less than 10 words in length, and I am being generous.

This is simply a quality of the human brain that we all share. However I think Blacks really, really like this and if that sounds racist please move on to the next thread. Large numbers of Blacks in my experience are so highly programmed, for whatever reason, to snap to bumper-stickerism, the idea that all thought can be summed up very very simply. Perhaps it is because they are in general less educated, not so much in math and English, but in the ability to think. Their culture trains them to not think. Their culture does not encourage the ability to hold a quandary or conundrum in their head and just let it sit there without reacting to it.

The evidence for this, IMO, is overwhelming. From the gutteral language of the worst rap music; to the adoption of simplistic slogans like “Black lives matter”, to thinking “reparations” to thinking “da man” to thinking “I’m a victim because all Blacks are victims” and on and on. This new generation of inner city ferals and their appalling levels of nonexistent education and literacy and commitment to any sort of ordered, functioning society is really shocking, I mean these people really have no utility to a society.

They never seem to get to second and third order thinking. They tend not to imagine they can elevate their lives by acquiring skills, becoming more valuable to someone who might pay them to exercise those skills, and benefit therefrom. They are just whom they are, now, and have to get what they can get, now, without regard to consequence, future paths, making beneficial choices or even making smart choices. They do not value freedom because for them it’s only more exposure to whatever the world wants to throw at them and for the most part that is bad because they think of themselves as victims.

As a result they are intensely vulnerable to sloganeering or what I call bumper-stickerism. Dems know this and know it well. That is why they can gather Black votes with catchy slogans that mean utterly nothing, and Dems know all they have to do is to activate the “under ten words” slogans to gather Black votes. There are about ten ways Dems do this.

Meanwhile, Republicans fret over which particular turn of verbiage will activate freedom loving people to act in their own best interest or for the better interest of their kids. It’s a reach.

Having lived and worked in black communities for most of my adult life, I heartily concur with your entire analysis. The only thing that I’ll add to it is that there is basically a one-party state in too many of the places where blacks live. The GOP needs to figure out how to at least field candidates and real campaigns everywhere, so that there is at least a choice. I only get the choice between GOP and donkey once every four years, and even then, prior to Trump, I haven’t seen a forceful defense of the alternative position. In all other elections, the GOP is a non-factor.

If we want to pander then join the marketing team for Colt .45 Malt Liquor.

If we want to teach the citizens that we believe that the content of our character (and theirs, also) is what we are asking them to choose at the ballot box, then we need to drop all the ‘Shuckin’ and jivin’ and the “I don’t feel no ways tired” shtick of the professional liars we call politicians.

Develop a plan to bring long term improvement to America. Elucidate that plan. Treat all voters as if they have a brain and common sense. If they don’t then we just might motivate them to find theirs and begin using it. This includes “young skulls full of mush”, “gimme-dats” and the MSM oligarchy. Residents of La-La Land and the Hamptons.

Not everyone will vote for the best solution, but if we don’t believe that a majority will do so then it is time to pack up and abandon the greatest experiment in self government ever ettempted.
