Gabriel Sherman writes that the poor reaction to Megyn Kelly’s primetime FOX special, Megyn Kelly Presents, has spooked the news anchor as she positions herself for negotiations at the end of her Fox News contract–so much so that a phone call to her publicist led to an immediate hang-up.

Megyn Kelly’s much-publicized broadcast special with Donald Trump was supposed to launch the Fox News star into the stratosphere of television anchordom. Instead, the widely panned show seems to have achieved the opposite result: It exposed the extent of her limited mainstream appeal. Kelly drew just 4.8 million viewers on Tuesday night, a number television executives say is a disappointment by any measure. Three senior executives I spoke with say an audience of 9 million would have been a success. “Not good for her at all,” was how one insider put it.

Got to hand it to the Donald. By the way the Trump interview on Hannity was very good. Light years ahead of the Megyn interview.

she failed because even though she booked Trump, many of us Trump supporters refuse to watch her.
So... even the demographic she was supposed to bring in, tuned her out.
The only people that probably watched were those looking for another “gotcha” moment.
And she thought she could out fox Trump???
After crawling on her hands and knees all the way from FNC to the Trump Tower, dressed so no one would notice her, ahem...the door man at Trump Towers says: “Why Hello Ms. Kelly, I’ll let Mr. Trump know your here”...with blood running down her legs from crawling on the side walks...and her dirty hands...and runs in her nylons...and this is how she looks when Mr. Trump stands up when she is escorted into the room...
And every bit of this ‘drama’ was for her...and Trump turned it around and smacked her in the face...you just don’t try to out fox the fox!!!

9 Million viewers for a news/commentating network in prime time????
I don’t know who’s smoking that crack, but if I’m not mistaken FOX News gets about 3 to 3.5 Million during primetime normally... so I ‘m not sure what crack someone is smoking to think they were going to pull in 9 Million....
But what do I know? I haven’t watched fox in a long long time... its worthless anymore.

She also had other guests, but they were all old news. Shapiro, Douglas & Cox... They seem like filler compared to the likely next POTUS.
It wasn’t on FNS it was on FOX Broadcasting.
It was on real Fox, like the Simpsons.
Does that mean she is damaged goods?
