In so many ways and to our great hurt, Obama really has kept his promise to 'fundamentally change America'
In his recent commencement address at Howard University our president’s racism-laced message to graduates strategically included the words, “Have confidence in your blackness.” But what most got my attention was that his entire speech was presented in his own version of ‘homeboy’ with a clumsy Ebonic lilt/cadence. The down-home, laid-back talk that he couldn’t quite pull off was, in my view, an embarrassing insult to the noble scholars and their parents, many of whom just wanted to enjoy the moment and honor the hard work it had taken both to achieve their goal.
The forty five minutes might have been better spent encouraging them to have confidence in their hard-earned skills and knowledge. Instead, he spent nearly an hour imitating some stereotype of a brutha’ and hauled out his pitifully caricatured representation of “blackness.” The racial unity of our so wounded nation was once more thrown in the backseat. It was a pitiful shuck.
Obama is a racist. Was from the start.
Should not surprise anyone.

Did he give the speech in blackface? He's not really black, you know. He's a mullato. His white mother and grandmother raised him to act white, so that he would be accepted by their white liberal friends.
He used the "I'm not an angry negro" facade to trick liberal white people into voting for him in 2008.
He defied the stereotype. He posed as a "respectable negro" who wasn't angry or scary. A "credit to his race" as my blue-haired old liberal college professor aunt called him.
And he spoke in proper English, not "Ebonics". College educated liberals could understand him. Joe Biden even praised him as "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy".
He was the perfect candidate.
He didn't pick up this "home boy" schtick until it became convenient for him.
