Praying, Monsieurs Buchanan and Prager, is always better for the Christian soul than preaching
People who posit that God is dead in online ramblings never stop trying to crawl under the skin of everyday Christians.
They bewail the times, the climes and the culture.
They seem to want us to believe that the only way up is down.
Tagline
Does anybody really say it any more?
Atheists say they are these days.
Atheism was already creeping into Western European culture in Hume's day.
Maybe so, but “God is dead” was a popular slogan in liberal Protestant circles circa 1965 or thereabouts. And not much since.
I remember looking into that a long time ago. There were some liberals who claimed that by saying 'God is Dead' they weren't quite saying that. It had something to do with evolutionary theology where Gold supposedly evolves over time. Supposedly it was our old vision of God that was dead and was being supplanted by the newer, better, shinier god the liberals had to offer us.
Basically a bunch of whacked-out nonsense.
