Now that the 2016 presidential election season is in full swing, which candidate(s) are people in the adult industry supporting?
Every election year is a nail-biter for pornographers, who are wracked with worry over potential persecution from the next presidential administration. Demonizing the porn industry under the guise of protecting the publics morality is an old politicians trick. Charge XXX producers with obscenity, collect fines and put a dent in the debauchery.
Obscene porn is illegal but not all porn is obscene. Content that was considered extreme 15 years ago might be closer to the norm now. In the late 90s it wasnt acceptable to film sex acts with helplessly bound performers; nowadays, its a mainstream concept.
No one wants to go to jail over consensual, legal porn. But its happened before.
And in 2016, when the line between kinky fetish and obscenity has become increasingly blurred with respect to different age groups, a progressive administration may be more crucial than ever for the adult industry and consumersespecially at a time when states like Utah have declared porn a public health hazard.
This election doesnt matter to me as much as when I had a porn company and could potentially go to prison if the wrong person were elected, said Tom Byron, AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame recipient.
Byron has been in the porn industry for over three decades, working under five different presidential administrations. Under the Clinton administration, adult companies were able to relax as the DOJ was more focused on prosecuting child pornography than obscenity. That all changed when George W. Bush took office. Bush blamed the Clinton administration for allowing adult films to become more offensive than ever and vowed to put a stop to it....

By October, the videos of Ashley Cruz and Lollipop
may be coming out.
Yawn. You guys keep saying it, but haven’t you moved on to the JFK nonsense? Or the so-called bribe?
What was it Reagan said (albeit in a somewhat different context)? “If it moves, tax it.”
The Porn Industry Is Terrified of Ted Cruz>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Then why are they using a porn actress to film with Ted Cruz sanctioned characters?
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/12/politics/ted-cruz-porn-actress-campaign-ad/
next it’ll be Ted himself, he’ll do anything for money or delegates.
Cruz reminds me of Richard ‘ Iam not a crook” Nixon.
I do not believe there are videos of Cruz with any woman, not even his wife. I also do not believe the unsubstantiated rumors about Cruz and infidelity. If he were the type, there would be evidence in his behavior.
On the flip side, I do not believe Cruz, Trump, or any her president would make a significant difference for porn. Again, if he were the type, there would be evidence in his behavior.
The level of nonsense from both sides in this election is startling.
Cruz is all sound and bluster signifying nothing. All weasely talk.
Porn needn’t worry, Cruz has already let it be known to gay donors that gay marriage wasn’t in his top priorities. Of course, as usual, this was said behind the scenes and caught on tape.
Then you’ll have a link, right?
Well let me be clear: Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him.
— Sen, Cruz
“But?”
He’s a federalist and you have problems with that?
Cruz is a liar. I do have a problem with that. You can’t believe a word he says no matter what side you are on.
A red herring.
Islam is terrified of Trump. They even physically attacked his rallies.
Islam thinks the dominionist Cubanadian is a joke.
The dominionist has no possible path to the presidency, and is no more relevant than Ben Carson.
Really 2D? You are pathetic.
More of a reach than usual by a Fervent Cruzlim to try to smear the inevitable nominee.
Of course they are scared of him.. Everyone is. He talks about hard core porn in front of little girls and probably also rails against the evils of sex toys at the dinner table.
We’re 20 trillion in debt, and some worry about the Porn industry and bathroom signs. SMFH....
Vote Trump
The libertarian streak is pretty strong in Cruz. He is an evangelical and is at home standing up in churches, but he has not run a traditional Bible-waving social issues campaign. His big issue in this area is religious liberty, which is a different matter. The left is hell-bent on eradicating any lingering vestige of traditional Judeo-Christian sexual ethics in the public square and forcing all institutions and businesses to conform to a radical new orthodoxy. Cruz is fighting for the right to be left alone, which implies the right for religious conservatives to build a viable counterculture, including businesses, schools, hospitals, universities, charitable organizations, etc. that adhere to traditional norms.
I don't think most people on the left understand, or care about, this distinction. They think they have finally gained the upper hand, and they are determined to enforce total compliance. It might be possible to reach a settlement along live-and-let-live lines, but the radical intolerance of the left has to be defeated. That's the Cruz issue.
Neither Trump nor Kasich, btw, show the slightest glimmering of understanding of this difference as well.
