Too bad for them almost no one is doing so
Left pretty excited to see racist Americans recoil at $20 bills featuring Harriet Tubman
You almost wonder if they did it just to bait certain people into racist reactions, because boy, what a story that would be for the race-baiting left and their media allies in a presidential election year. Defeat the Tubman-hating racist Republicans!
Of course, theres nothing at all wrong with Harriet Tubman being on the $20 bill, because a) she was a perfectly admirable historical figure; and b) it doesnt matter in the slightest whose face is on your money. This is the sort of meaningless sybolism the left loves to pick fights over, and in this case theyve already started attacking all the right-wing racists before any have even come forward. Occupy Democrats got the ball rolling yesterday:

Sacajawea, however, was a bit of a waste
Well, yes. She was not nearly as important as the revised history books make out. But she was a remarkable young woman nonetheless. She was kidnapped as a young teenager, taken over a thousand miles away from her home, sold to/married to a French fur trader and then managed to find her way back to her home village while carrying a newborn. The current theory is that the fact that a new mother was with Lewis & Clark’s heavily armed band of men was a signal to Indian tribes that they were not a war party.
As an added bonus, Ecuador, which uses our money, really likes the fact that there is someone who looks like them on our $1 coin.

I don’t consider Andrew Jackson sacrosanct.
About the only president I’d insist on is George Washington, and that’s for obvious reasons.
I’m not caring much for presidents at all these days.
I’d prefer they used Medal of Honor winners and other actual heroes.
Presidents have been dweebs more often than not.

The Tubman $20 will be the perfect bill for an underground economy.

That’s about all a 5 dollar bill will be good for by the time the libs are done with us. Hope they use a soft fuzzy paper.

"Put Obamas face on a penny. Because this worthless piece of excrement is a penny waiting for change." And we'll put your face right next to him, as you're a lying piece of Stolen Valor trash. Prove me wrong, liar.

Personally I think he looks like a bitter old coot who hates the world but to each their own.
There is a reason why we used to use idealized depictions of a young female Liberty.
I wish we would go back to that. I am totally against the idea of having real people on our money. It smacks of monarchy.

Slaves were bought, sold and traded-
but no one saw the folly of putting tubman on an instrument used to purchase things?

The only thing bothers me is that she wasn’t a President. I think only deceased Presidents should be eligible for American paper currency.

I see what you’re saying there. :-)

Oh right. Founding fathers then too!

The idiocracy should just embrace the hyperinflation they are trying to cause and issue these as replacements for the $10.00. :)

HEY! Dolly Madison saved a bunch of paintings from a fire. Exactly my point. Not much significance on the national scale of things.

That was sarcasm, but seriously, you don’t think Nancy Reagan accomplished anything when she was in the white house? She was the brains of that operation.
