The most recent propaganda angle with Team Trumpster has been that 'a vote for Cruz is a vote for an open convention in Cleveland... where the 'Establishment' is going to ram-through Paul Ryan on the 2nd ballot.
'So you gotta vote for Trump- don't you see?'
Except that Paul Ryan is running out of ways to say 'I'm not running'.
Yes, the strategy in gaining his current position as Speaker of the House was 'Aw shucks, I'm not interested'... waiting until the demands for him grew louder and wider... then -reluctantly, of course- accepting the will of the people and a powerful new seat.
But he was prepared for that position, and for the Speaker's chair he faced weak competition anyway, with no real challenger to worry about- with the GOP primary contest, it's another story entirely: Ted Cruz will go into Cleveland with a whole lot of delegates, perhaps a # closely approximating -even exceeding- Trump's total by then.
Ted Cruz's path to pre-Clevo 1237 is admittedly a narrow one- but it does exist. Trump on the other hand is facing imminent defeat in Wisconsin which should all but guarantee he's going to the convention while short of the mark..
When Trump goes down on the first ballot, it's all over - and a whole lot of his delegates are going to bail on him. I'm sure there's no shortage of people in early-voting states that regret supporting Agent Orange already and who would be delighted to avoid a lifetime of guilt by it going some other way now.
And forget Trump hints of '3rd party run' now that he's dropped his pledge to support the GOP nominee...

Grandpa Munster and the mailman’s son are the walking dead. Neither can win the nomination and certainly not the general.
Roberts got it wrong no doubt, and bringing that in on an abortion debate is a logic failure. How can you hold any man to absolute infallibility? Jesus Christ is the only one to pass that test.
Cruz also screwed up on TPP (and then corrected himself). But I don't care. It's about the unborn, and who the best warrior is for that fight, to include SCOTUS picks. Cruz is the best prepared to do so.
Proof please. I have seen nothing that shows that Soros donated to Cruz. I have seen however connections between Trump and Soros.
Cruz is in the race to stop Trump
He cannot win 85% of remaining delegates
If he does he deserves his victory
Do you support him as a winner or to stop Trump
Once it becomes mathematically impossible which is soon.,,,will you still support him or not?
Simple question
White conservative republicans can sometimes be as absurd as white liberal democrats. Noted.
The rule is the majority of delegates + 1. Will you still support Trump when it becomes a mathmatical impossiblity for him to reach that number?
If Cruz was so good on abortion, why did he attack Trump when Trump said women getting abortions would have to be punished if such an act was illegal. That is a pretty basic stance and if Cruz cannot even say that how will he fight any real battle to make abortion a criminal act?
The man is an empty suit on Abortion.
Cruz cannot win. If he’s a real American he will step aside. He lost, hope he is a real American and does the right thing.
Cruz lost. He hasnt won anywhere of note. Stop carrying the gope mail it what he should do.
Go Trump ! Time to restore America
I used to be a single-issue pro-life voter.
But there are more lives at stake than just the unborn.
But that's Trump. He's always done that.
If it becomes mathematically impossible for Cruz it may still be that Trump doesn't win a majority either. In which case neither of them deserves anything and it will be a matter of seeing which can muster a majority.
And it is also part of the reason his negatives are so high.
Unless Cruz wins every remaining primary he will be unable to hit the 1237 +1
Trump only has to win one to make it impossible for Cruz to hit that number
Once that happens then what will you do?
If Cruz wins enough on a roll to do the impossible I would begrudgingly support him but mathematically that is minuscule whereas odds are within 2 weeks that is precisely where Cruz will be
And he and his supporters who stay in are there to stop Trump
We get it now trust me
If you think say Trump hits 1100-1200 and Cruz has 700 that Cruz can muster a win in a contested convention given he has 40% less primary voter support I just don’t see that happening
I take from your parsing you support Cruz but when that fails as it likely will then you’ll support stopping Trump
Who’s your preference in an establishment pick in that event?
Yes but Cruz will be mathematically impossible long before Trump
So if Cruzbots stay in
For what?
To stop Trump is why
He is NOT an empty suit on this issue. He is and has been the most consistent.
In short, how we view the unborn determines everything else. End the end, we defend our vote with a face to face meeting with Christ Himself.
Good for you hope he doesn’t fail you like he has on other issue. Finally back on line.
April 26th is the end of the cruise for Cruz. He officially runs out of gas and delegates.
