I love Scott Adams, especially his Master Persuader series, but I find it tedious to go through his pages of articles looking for the Trump ones that interest me, so I've built an index into his blog entries, which I hope will be of use to others as well as to me. They include everything linked #Trump. First time I've built a political page since the Great Depression of Nov 2008.
Best, Mary
Thanks, that’s quite the list!
Isn’t that what the link below is?
It has only those articles (with the links to the full article and comments)?
thx very nice
When to Accept Higher Risk
Generally speaking, you want to avoid risks (such as Trump) when things are going well, and you want to invite the right kind of risk when things are not. For example, if you think the budget of the United States will reverse course and balance itself before we are broke, you probably dont want the extra risk of a Trump presidency. Likewise, if you think there is no real risk from having porous borders, you dont want the risks of a Trump presidency.
But if you think the government is broken, and you want to send a wrecking ball to Washington D.C., Trump offers that possibility. We just dont know what else he offers because we cant see the future.
Thank you for the helpful site. Bravo. Looks like a lot of work, and worthy. Scott Adams’ essays on Trump are very helpful. Wow. I did not realize that Adams’ wrote about Trump way back in July 15. Still not the dark ages of 08.
Thanks again. One suggestion: white background, please. Keep up the good work. Bookmarked.
Basically, except those are on all topics. You can get to the #Trump entries as a stand-alone. The problem is that the #Trump entries cover 21 separate pages and are only found by going “older” at the bottom of each page. TEDIOUS! He tried a list of Master Persuader entries himself, but it’s never REALLY clear which entries are MP and which aren’t. He gave up mid February. So, hopefully, this one will be easier to read from and, since I don’t have to decide if it’s MP or not, just #Trump, it will be easy to update. My husband, who is an avid fan, hadn’t the faintest idea there were so many entries, so they’re not obvious to find.
My guilt is that I should have included a MP designation on those entries Adams identifies as Master Persuader, and that I should have included a separate table at the bottom which points to the political cartoons he included with the #Trump entries.
Best, Mary
Thanks kvan and not and falcon. My site has perhaps 15,000 separate public pages on all and sundry, and another 15,000 research pages for Night Before Christmas. (Mac’s book statistically putting the authorship to Henry Livingston comes out late this spring!!!) I woke up once to discover I’d been writing HTML in my dreams.
Your suggestion is taken to heart, falcon, and the new page in white is up. The Politics subsite is black because it started in pictures of Bush and they sparkle against the black. Then I kept up black backgrounds for consistency. I knew ‘twas a hobgoblin when I looked at the page. Your kick was appropriate and I fixed it. Thank you.
Deep in my private research section I keep a page of all the most wonderful links I can find every day, on Shakespeare’s missing skull and such, for Mac in New Zealand. This will be an easy update next to that.
I’m so very glad you like it. Best, Mary
They noticed. They dont care. And at this point they hes just saying what he needs to say to get elected.
And he's saying what he needs to say to have the highest negatives of any candidate in history - so he probably won't be elected. But even if he is, his track record of supporting liberal causes, his lack of an ideological compass, and his demonstrated staggering ignorance of the issues will come back to haunt us.
This is insanity, playing out in front of us - an orchestrated temper tantrum - a revolt of the Epsilon Minors - intent on sacrificing the Republic. May God have mercy on your souls, because if this goes as I expect it will, I shall not.

Wow, Mary, that makes sense.
He does have a few interviews on youtube. I find his writings and theories interesting, though at times claims more predictive power than is warranted.
There is more going on than mass susceptibility to hypnosis and suggestion. And there is more at stake this political season than “who is the better master persuader” — but he offers part of a more complete understanding.
Thank you. I feel humble. Golly. The white background is much better.
I admire your home page and research.
He’s really deep, so much so that I sometimes feel as if I’m drowning in his subtlety. He’s layers on layers with that tongue-in-cheek Dilbert cleverness. When I read people accepting what he writes as though it were top-level simple, my mental jaw drops. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to live in his mind and see the world as he does. But I so much enjoy trying!
He doesn’t have to be right all the time. He just has to get our mental motors moving, and he does that beautifully. So much at stake and so very scary. This is such a comforting place to hide while it all plays out. Let me say that I do enjoy your posts. I notice your name on many thoughtful ones. All my best, Mary
When you’re right....
Thanks for visiting. I’m an evangelist for so many things and the site lets me share my passions. I was in computer language design research, and getting into 18th century poetry research turned out to be a remarkably easy jump. Research is just a state of mind as this marvelous website shows us every day. Just careful, persnickety following threads to wherever they lead.
For Night Before Christmas we transcribed every word of every poem by Henry and Clement Moore into phonemes, the sounds that make up a word. That turns out to track with where your tongue moves in your mouth while you’re reciting. Then we did statistical analysis to see which poet matched the tongue movements of the Christmas poem.
I love this site because it feels just as carefully researched and thought through. It’s crowd research which would never have been possible twenty years ago and is just mind-blowingly wonderful. I do follow your posts and enjoy them very much. Best, Mary
Thank you for the kind words, Mary. You and your spouse may enjoy youtube hosts Pat Condell and/or Stephen Molyneaux. They are another perspective apart from Scott Adams.
Both are committed atheists.
Condell is an Irish born Catholic turned comedian turned social commentator. He is acerbic to say the least, but he calls out islam for what it is. His recent commentaries on feminism’s pathologically ignoring how islam regards and treats women is spot on, as is his “I’ll take truth where I find it” back-handed endorsement of DJT. (You can find these videos in the last 4 months’ worth on his channel.)
Stephen Molyneaux is a philosopher with some considerable youtube following. You both may enjoy his “The Untruth About Donald Trump” (Parts I and II). It’s hilarious at points as he quotes those who attack/despise DJT and then shows their bias/blindness/hypocrisy straight from the public record. (Both of these are recent, within the last two months on his channel.)
I do not adhere to the religious views of either, but I find their “spot on factual analyses” telling and interesting. I take my truth and facts where I find them, sometimes in unexpected places.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for the Scott Adams index!
