Trump's Dirty War Losing Steam: CRUZ Leads Fresh WI Poll
-and Now Within 3 Points Nationally

And Trump's surely helping the cause, with unhinged cheap-shot attacks on Heidi Cruz- when this woman is 10,000x times more impressive than unintelligible prop Melania Trump will ever be...
Alas, the pattern is well-established: Trump comes up with some dubious excuse to orchestrate a character assassination (that's already been elaborately planned), goes into a two day twitter frenzy disingenuously playing the victim in a crudely staged scene that's a mirror-image of the one the master projectionist is actually about to spring upon his latest mark.
Then when Trump shifts into attack-mode, Drudge, Breitbart, paid bloggers and twitter trolls spread the false narrative/finish them off if they're still moving.
After this latest gutter-offensive, how any woman could vote for The Donald is beyond me... seems to have a bizarre love/hate relationship with females, to say the least.
It's been truly unsettling to see Trump just nod his head in somebody's direction -like Carlo Gambino- and loyal thugs promptly go after them,
be it online or at his monster-truck-style rallies.
And the Orwellian propaganda generated against Ted Cruz blows my mind-- so sad to watch millions of Americans join-in the utterly dishonest trashing of this good man and all he stands for in service to some would-be
post-constitutionalist dictator.
Who knows how many paid trolls he's got out there spreading his noxious slander -there's obviously an organized online offensive- but the last couple months social media and news/blog comments sections have been a cesspool to behold, like dirty campaigning gone nuclear- and we've all got Trump to thank for it.
I pray there's really not that many actual people out there who believe whatever tripe Dear Leader spoons them, and I will say over half the Trumpsters who come after me on twitter appear to be fake accounts, supported by teams of other fake accounts. With all the smear tactics, it seems Trump has combined Organizing for America with KGB disinformation techniques-- and it worked, for a while.
But are we really this screwed-up from the last eight years that we don't think there's anything wrong in the way Trump 'campaigns'... and that the answer is our own nominally 'conservative' Obama who also talks out both sides of his mouth... and runs like a scorched-Earth Alinskyite with a rabid twitter army?
Perhaps not: there is reason to consider Arizona a lagging indicator, with all that early voting for Trump (and Rubio) not truly reflecting the public's growing disaffection for the current GOP frontrunner.
After Trump received an ass-whooping in Utah, a fresh poll suggests that the Tang-toned tyrant's schtick is also rapidly wearing thin in winner-take-all Wisconsin:
In a statewide Emerson College poll released today, Texas Senator Ted Cruz is not only leading Trump 36% to 35% in the upcoming primary, but Cruz is only trailing Hillary Clinton by one point in a hypothetical general election matchup, 46% to 45%.
In contrast, Trump is trailing both Clinton and her Democratic rival, Bernie Sanders, by the same 9-point margin of 47% to 38% in a potential general election match-up.
In addition, a new Fox News poll has Cruz virtually tied with Trump nationally,
within the margin-for-error... how bout that:

After I became disillusioned with RealClearPolitics I looked around for other poll tracking sites. I probably shouldn’t even admit this, but I found that HuffPo does a pretty good job. Unlike RCP, HuffPo averages all the polls. Also, the chart tells you up front how recently the poll was updated, which I find convenient.
Right now HuffPo has Trump at 35 in WI, and Rubio is still running second with 21. The poll was updated 15 hrs ago.
Here’s the link, in case you want to have a look:

Wrong. Bad article. First sentence not only excuses the attack on Trump’s wife, it makes Cruz and Heidi out as the victims. It took Cruz almost a whole day to condemn the ad and he only did it when the interviewer asked him if the ad was fair to go after another candidates wife.

We all cherry pick and promote the polls favorable to our candidate (Cruz and Trump supporters). Today, polls are used more to shape opinion than to measure voter sentiment.

Most Europeans speak multiple languages...its really not a big deal.\
How many languages do you speak? It's impressive to me, I can only speak one. I think that your bias is showing a little.

This is a particularly egregious example of such manipulation of poll results.
I mean—it is off the charts bad.

He’s been doing this for awhile. There are a few other posters here that do the same thing.
Some of them post pictures of themselves here with their real name.
Takes guts to do that. Something “Reaganite Republican” obviously does not have.

Cruz now leads Trump? He’s winning in the delegate count?
Wow! I didn’t think he stood a chance of making a comeback.
Way to go Cruz!

Cruz is winning even when he’s losing.

A vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary, he can’t win FL,OH, or VA.

How well did Cruz do in Florida and Arizona again? These are two polls that actually mean something.

What on earth are you even talking about?
To: Fantasywriter
Very good. Thanks. You know, all these charts show Sanders doing better against Republicans than Clinton.
I think this is the mirror image of the “Cruz does better vs Hillary” phenomenon. I don’t believe either, but it is curious and I would like to know how to account for it.

Do a little reconnaissance. It seems a fair number of Cruzbots are fellow Texans or ex-Texans.
Apparently there's something in the water in Texas that makes people from there support the local guy no matter what the circumstances. And they can get quite belligerent about it.

So lets say that Cruz somehow wins the nomination. Trump supporters ... would you vote for Cruz in November? If Cruz enters the convention with a lead in delegates, yes. If Da Boys pull a theft, no. I'll pull a straight Democrat lever in order to try and kill the Republican party. Cruz couldn't win an election against a Hillary in an orange jumpsuit.

And now Trump has picked one of Mitt’s advisors from 2012 to help him be just like Uncle Milty.

I am waiting to see the GOPe actually succeed at the Convention in taking the nomination away from the clear front runner. If that happens, it will be a great pleasure to watch GOP die a sudden and well deserved political death.
