I haven’t seen any polls which show how Cruz would do against Trump in a head to head in Florida. But if such a poll exists and it shows that Cruz could beat Trump one on one there... then I don’t blame Rubio for dropping out before Florida to help stop Trump.
Because honestly, if Trump wins Florida, it’s all over and he is the nominee.

It might already be over for the most part. We’ve had early voting going since 2/29 and IIRC last count was around a million ballots already cast between absentees and early voting.
That’s a couple hundred thousand Rubio votes totally squandered at this point, if he drops out.

There is no point in these go nowhere candidates Rubio and Kasich staying in the race. Their only function at this point is to cause a brokered convention, so they should get out right now.

My opinion, FWIW: Rubio would be smart to drop out if he wants to continue a career in politics. It’s not even about the other candidates; it’s about his own career.
