What a lot of folks are thinking...
Its been about 24 hours since Mitt Romney delivered his infamous anti-Trump speech, and the fallout continues. Romneys diatribe has been met with near-universal disdain as virtually every pundit, politician, and observer agrees: Mitts divisive attack was a massive miscalculation. Depending on who you ask, it either further divided the GOP, thereby lending aid to Hillary Clinton, or it solidified Trumps support, making him all the more inevitable.
Either way, if it was supposed to draw support away from the New York billionaire, everyone agrees it failed.
Then theres a group of people wondering why Mitt Romney even popped up to begin with. He was soundly rejected in 2012, and has a long history of being on both sides of every issue - which is exactly what hes accusing Trump of.
RULES!
The GOP is already divided. It didn't take Mr. Stupid to make a speech and introduce a wedge.
Way to go Andrea. Mittens needs to shut up. He’s a loser.
Mitt + Beck guarantees a Trump victory.
Andrea Who?
Why can’t Beck respect what the voters want? He has his fat
ego in the way again. Romney’s statements will help Trump because he has been sleeping for 4 years, while Obama was doing his thing. Nobody heard a word from Romney about the damage that has made people very angry. Now, Romney is mad the anger has fueled Trump? Romney has little anger for what has been going on since he lost the election.
A move by the GOPe to derail Trump? If so, it was a massive failure and too stupid to have succeeded. Romney was a horrible candidate. An establishment liberal running as another rich Republican with all the personality of wet toast. Conservatives hated him because he was liberal and liberals hated him because he was a evil, white, male, rich R. He sucked.
So why on Earth would the establishment pick Mittens to do the hit? A failure with credibility Left or Right?
Maybe it was personal? Did Mittens have a moment disengaged from reality and in a fit of anger think that he, as a former President (candidate - but this was so crazy he may have lost it and think he was President) it was unfair that this campaign wasn't about him and it was his duty to use his immense pull and reputation to sway the voters to do the right thing....
Just as crazy as the GOPe saying give Mr Magoo the gun! He'll take the shot!
The only other option goes into tinfoil hat territory. Knowing full well the mess it would create and split the GOPe further, did the Donald make a late night call to Mittens and say, I've got this crazy plan and little check for you....
Beck is not the man he used to be.
Beck must have small hands, Rubio was talking about.
Romney sold his soul (do Mormons have souls) just kidding.
How did this idiot make his millions?
His anti-Trump spiel was a loser like his Presidential run.
Both Mormons.
Diamond and Silk really let Romney have it, too!
I used to like Glenn Beck. Gave him the benefit of the doubt more times than he may have deserved. I don’t hate him but I also don’t pay attention to him or miss him. Not even a little bit.
Mitt, on the other hand... he can have a series of slip and fall accidents in a cheese grater factory.
LOLOLOL, they are piiiiiiiiissed! You go girls!!!
I suspect we will find that the majority of the GOP failure since Reagan has been due to the Bush family and their installs and toadies.
Later
...Romney has little anger for what has been going on since he lost the election.
******************************
No... He has little understanding of the anger that has been growing since he became Gov. of MA and implemented so many liberal plans.
Both Mormons and both morons. But I repeat myself.
