Since New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has endorsed Donald Trump, he has been:
Humiliated by video showing Trump ordering him onto the plane and telling him to go home. Condemned by his former finance co-chair Meg Whitman. (The Governor is mistaken if he believes he can now count on my support, and I call on Christies donors and supporters to reject the Governor and Donald Trump outright. I believe they will. For some of us, principle and country still matter.) Excoriated for his disastrous TV interview on Sunday. Phrases like train wreck, off the rails and disaster were used to describe his appearance. In other words, if it had not been obvious to him before this weekend, his political career is essentially over. He has gone from someone admired for his political talent to the object of derision as an errand boy for someone who espouses fascistic ideas (e.g., punishing the press) and openly displays his bigotry (e.g., retweeting a Mussolini quote). Christie is now signed up with the man who the Anti-Defamation League on Sunday was compelled to call out for pretending initially not to know who David Duke is:
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is providing information on extremists and hate groups to all of the presidential candidates, including Donald Trump, who earlier today in an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper indicated he did not know anything about notorious former Klansman and racist hatemonger David Duke. Last week, Duke endorsed Trumps candidacy for president.
This episode was disgusting......but one could argue he was doing what he needed to do to get disaster funding for his state after the hurricane. Doing his job as governor. What crossed him off my list (I originally liked him) was the senate vacancy. He could have appointed someone that had a reasonable chance of retaining the seat , say Christie Whitman or Tom Keane. And it they didn’t hold the seat it still would have been an additional R seat for 2 years. Instead he appointed a nobody as a place holder and called for a special election in only one year and the seat easily flipped back to D.
Hahahaha. Rubin DOA
Bless her heart.
“omg...it was a well done nice job go home and rest type of thing.”
We know that. The ooze just seeps into everything.
A guy has to put food on the table!
I have no love for Krispy Crème, but as was pointed out on my post, the insinuation that this was a kiss off is greatly exaggerated. Look at the video linked there.

Chris Christie had a brief window. Unfortunately, no opportunity arose during that time for him to move into the Top Job. Now that window is closed. It was closed before he even started his campaign.
It really in no fault on Chris Christie. His act just wore thin. There was no way the brash-tough-talking-NJ-governor thing was going have a long shelf-life. Just like John Kasich’s “Mailman’s Son” thing is long past it’s pull date.
Actually, it is kind of funny, because back where I come from “The Mailman’s Son” has a whole different connotation...
I'm left speechless at the dishonesty and misrepresentation that is hurled with such abandon by people I so recently respected and held in the highest regard.
I'm no Trump fanboy. He's not my idea of a conservative or even a Republican. Yet I feel I'm being driven to embrace him if only because of the enmity he arouses in others.
I'm just glad it hasn't caused more of a problem in my marriage.
His enemies are EVERYONE in the political establishment. Think about that. He has no need for money, power or influence. He's got that. He has no need to make a "party" better. So what's his motivation? Love of country. THAT is anathema to the political class.

So. The Communist Party like Bernie and will endorse Hillary once she is the nominee. Does anyone think Jennifer will mention that?
Jennifer Rubin is a card carrying idiot.
Uni-brow for the uni-party?
she was great when she was blasting Cruz....what happened?
Nice way to say she's dumb as a box of hair. Good one!
ROFLMAO! Subsequent FReeper posts confirm it. Thanks, patq.
That is a helluva assumption on your part.
But even if your assumption is true, it gives no indication of what he will do out of love of country. His policy decisions could be well intentioned but absolutely destructive. We just have no way of knowing.
The best we can do is look at what he did and said all his life up until the point he started running for President. I assume, for the obvious reasons, that any new position unveiled while running for President is adopted for convenience. But if you look at Donald Trump prior to 2014, it looks like his policy decisions as President are going to be typically collectivist and hostile to traditional conservative positions.
Belated WELCOME ABOARD! That’s some straight-shootin humor there, Texan.
