lol, you guys and your cartoons.

Don’t you have anything of substance to say?

I do:

“Ted Cruz ran on conservative issues like building a fence on our border when he was elected, he has lived up to his promises in the Senate and he has run a consistently conservative campaign. Cruz is also not temperamental and you don’t ever have to wonder what he REALLY thinks about issues like abortion or health care. Perhaps even more importantly, Cruz has proven that he’s a fighter who’s not scared to go toe-to-toe with anybody from the Republican establishment to Obama, to the mainstream media.

Cruz’s consistent conservatism mixed with his willingness to fight is why he’s the ONLY CANDIDATE RUNNING who can absolutely be counted on to get rid of Obama’s executive orders, kill Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood and build a fence on the border. “

I’m tired of broken promises from politicians like Trump. Let’s support the guy with a PROVEN record, not the guy who says he gets along with Pelosi and Schumer which is Donald Trump.

If you read Post #1, you would see the purpose of this thread, including: “I am not interested in a Cruz-Rubio match up, but that is the title of the article.”

Perhaps you’re a low-information voter, supporting a LOW-INFORMATION POLITICIAN (Trump) cuz you don’t like to research.

Me neither!

A Republican candidate needs to win 1,237 of the 2,472 total delegates in order to become the presumptive nominee.
Marco "Gang of Eight PRO-AMNESTY BILL" Rubio's PRIMARY GOAL IS His job is to PREVENT ANYONE from obtaining enough delegates in The 2016 Endorsement Primary, so that

Then you know what she'll do to Cruz or whomever else, except Trump.

Trump is the ONLY one who can beat her or any other Dem.

It’s been said “If you torture the data long enough it will say what you want.”

Taking all these “second choice” polls and their respective percentages of who would take who IF Donald is taken out and then somehow combining those percentages (curiously not mentioned as what percentage of the entire slate of candidates’ supporters) to reveal, voila!, some concoction that says, “Rubio or Cruz beats Hillary” is absurd.

This wasn’t a specific poll for that; it is a mishmash of wishful extrapolation of orthogonal data from RCP averages that leaves out some very basic obstacles - like how exactly Trump magically disappears from the entire data set.

OK, I’ll take you word for it, but maybe you missed this:

Speaking of endorsements, check out the phenomenal endorsements Ted Cruz received:

These are the TRUE CONSERVATIVES.

I’m not a fan of Rubio, and if you read Post #1, you would see why I posted this thread.

For instance, I stated: “..My main reason for posting this is that there are some voters who might vote for a candidate they don’t like as much, JUST BECAUSE they think they can beat Hillary. “

I’m no fan of Romney either.

But Donald isn’t winning against Hillary in a General Election, in any of the polls that I read on Real Clear Politics (unless I missed it).

These “second choice” polls all assume a magic conversion to someone else IF Trump is out of the way. That’s a big IF. Hypotheticals are just that. Some might say they require “willing suspension of disbelief” to even begin to consider the questions posed by them.

I prefer actual reports/averages of candidates in primaries state-by-state where RCP usually does a good job of averaging more localized polls by entities that usually include in-state stakeholders.

If you evaluate the bulk of Rubio’s comments, votes, and actions, you would conclude he is strongly pro-Amnesty. That disqualifies him in my mind, and a Trump-Rubio ticket is (with Trump-Jeb and Trump-Kasich) one of the few things that could turn me against Trump (my #2 pick).

If you evaluate the bulk of Cruz’s comments, votes, and actions, you would conclude he is strongly against Amnesty. That, with his history of actions and votes supporting constitutional government, makes him the best candidate in the race, in terms of how he would actually govern as President. [Trump is probably more electable, but I think Cruz would do the job better.] Despite that, a Cruz-Rubio ticket is (with Cruz-Jeb and Cruz-Kasich) one of the few things that could turn me against Cruz (my #1 pick).

Trump supporters see the glass half empty or half full and Cruz supporters see water spots on the glass. ;-)

Rubio is Bush light. I’d rather see Cruz and Trump team up.

I voted for someone I didn’t like (as much) to stop Obama. It didn’t work out. From now on out I vote for whoever the hell I want to vote for.
