The insult routine does not fit Marco very well. He’s not a natural at it. His handlers feed him a few zingers and he repeats them and gives his stupid smile. All it does it make the voters who don’t like Trump’s insults dislike Marco as well. I don’t understand the strategy. Sounds like the con man is a junior Senator from Florida who presented himself as a conservative, then betrayed everyone who voted him in (see Phyllis Schafly’s denunciation and condemnation of Rubio), and for a guy who doesn’t show up for work but still collects a paycheck, Rubio demonstrates in practice just what a ‘con man’ is.
