Who is Heidi Cruz? She is one interesting lawyer! Did you know that she sat on a Council on Foreign Relations task force for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)? ...
Now why is this important? If you havent figured it out yet this has all been part of Obamas policies. And now, the man running for president named Cruz, who was all for TPA, and said he was against TTP, yet, because he was against it made the move for the final vote to require only a 51 vote simple majority that got it passed to head to President Obamas desk to be signed. Why? Gee? To insure that the corruption in the TPA was no longer prevalent. Oh my head hurts. (Are you understanding how this is all connected yet?)

Zoellick is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, as well as the Trilateral Commission, and was one of the signers of the January 26, 1998, Project for the New American Century (PNAC) letter to President William Jefferson Clinton.
Zoellick completed negotiations to bring China and Taiwan into the World Trade Organization (WTO), developed a strategy to launch new global trade negotiations at the WTO meeting at Doha, shepherded Congressional action on the Jordan Free Trade Agreement and the Vietnam Trade Agreement, and worked with Congress to pass the Trade Act of 2002, which included new Trade Promotion Authority.
In an October 2007 speech to the National Press Club, Zoellick stated that we are working with our Board to significantly step up our assistance to the international efforts to address climate change.
Prior to government service, Ms. Cruz was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in New York City.
In addition to being the Special Assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, U.S. Trade Representative HEIDI CRUZ was also an energy investment banker with Merrill Lynch in Houston, Texas. She served in the Bush White House under Dr. Condoleezza Rice as the Economic Director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council, as the Director of the Latin America Office at the U.S. Treasury Department, and of course her CFR contributions for a North American Union Merging Task Force for five years. Prior to government service, Ms. Cruz was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in New York City.
NOTE: Currently Heidi Cruz is the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs. She was promoted to that position from being Vice President nine days after Ted Cruz was elected to the United States Senate. There is only one step higher in the Goldman Sachs organization above managing director: full partner.
One wonders if Heidi may be the “honey pot” and BEARD equivilant to Ted, as Huma is to Hitlery (things that make ya go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
Wow, CFR and NAFTA.
Thanks for the information.
CFR member Max Boot is now a foreign policy adviser to Marco Rubio.
Examine Rubio’s foreign policy positions. Are they in the best interests of the republic?
“She was promoted to that position from being Vice President nine days after Ted Cruz was elected to the United States Senate.”
Thank you! I’ve been wondering about the timeline of her career path, and how/if it related to Ted’s career path. Just as I suspected.
Yep, Mrs. Heidi Cruz looks at herself as Mrs. Hillary Clinton....
All interesting stuff. I’m a Cruz supporter, but this is very interesting.
On the good side, this shows that she is presumably very knowledgeable on international trade and finance, and energy, and both national and international politics. Maybe she should be running for president.
It is a reminder that while Cruz is known for his work before the Supreme Court, that he and she are more seasoned and more broadly knowledgeable than people might think.
I’m not paranoid about these connections, but it is good to have this out in the open. And Cruz’s faux pas with TPA was wrong, and while I enjoyed his recovery at McConnell’s expense, the fact remains that he had to have known what he was doing and what it meant. He himself explained the whole “show vote” concept very clearly.
Cruz has been a constitutionalist his entire life, and while he and she were involved in Bush’s White House, he eventually made an enemy by getting in GW’s way when he sought to defer to the UN, for example, over Texas law.
So while I think Cruz is head and shoulders above any other candidate I’ve seen in decades, he is not perfect (TPA and H1b for example) and will have to be held to account just like anyone.
But Cruz is an establishment outsider? I am amazed by the number of people who can say that with a straight face.
Was more interested in this info until I listened to the video at the link which is anti fracking. So we are supporting Democratic talking points..franking has been linked to so many health issues...A site that promotes this fairy tale may be promoting others. I was hoping for a balanced analysis since Cruz’s North American Union position worries me but this lack credibility.

Great article and post. Thanks!
Oh my goodness, you are going to be assailed by the cruzbots!
“But Cruz is an establishment outsider? I am amazed by the number of people who can say that with a straight face.”
Rush Limbaugh repeats that line about five times and hour, five shows per week, along with “The establishment hates Trump, but they really (hiss)hate Ted Cruz because he is the ultimate outsider.”
Being on the Council on Foreign Relations proves she’s very connected. That means Cruz is a fraud.
Reminds me of Moochelle’s rapid advancement after Obama got elected to office.
I heard a guy on PBS last night, can’t remember his name but he’s a big time pundit, say there is no such thing as an establishment gop.
One is more than enough. To see another is unacceptable!!
Yeah; DH and I were discussing that a few minutes ago. A no-show job at a hospital, and a big salary bump. How convenient.
What ought to bother everyone a lot is that this is just more of the circus of know - nothings that have made a mess of the world. What could she possibly know about energy. She is not trained as an engineer, she has never operated or designed any kind of power plant, she has not drilled for oil or developed hydrofracking or anything like that. She is a banker with degrees in business and economics.
It's just more of the same inside the Beltway circus of connected insiders taking for themselves and doing nothing to make America a great country.
