Donald Trump Falsely Claims Justice Samuel Alito Supported His Sister
Life News ^ | 2/26/2016 | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 02/26/2016 5:45:41 AM PST by agrarianlady

"Apart from the fact that judges do not sign bills into law, pro-life attorney Matt Bowman of Alliance Defending Freedom indicates Trump is wrong on the point and that Justice Alito, when he was a lower court justice, not only did not agree with Judge Maryanne Trump Barry on opposing a bill to ban partial-birth abortions he went out of his way to indicate how he disagreed with her.

While some pro-life voters were shocked that Trump continued to defend Planned Parenthood others are shocked that Trump would defend his sister's support for partial-birth abortions by falsely maligning a pro-life Supreme Court Justice who went to great lengths to be on record opposing abortion."

The omission is everything Trump has said about private, competitive insurance for those who can afford it. Insurance that can be bid across state lines.

This is NOT rocket science.

You made a blanket statement about Cruz and his supporters. I asked what you thought of the HC lie by Trump, if this is an omission.

You tell me I’m being fooled, but never say how Trump is telling the shiny truth with this.

Trump says his private plan is going to be “great.” And he also says he is going to take care of everybody that’s uninsured, and the government’s going to pay for it. And then he lied and said he never said that.

Donald Trump is the worse communicator, then, that I have ever known to run for President. If "the government's going to pay for it" means absolutely nothing, then why in the world did he put it that way?

He runs out of gas and then starts using put-downs. Last night he lost his train of thought and so thought it would be a good time to insult Hugh Hewitt's show out of nowhere.

Yes Reagan appointed he to a lower court and Clinton appointed her to the appellate court. Two wrongs don’t make a right. I wonder how much those appointments cost Trump!!!

Note that ever since Ted started BEING ACCUSED OF telling lies, half truths, and misrepresentations he’s went DOWN in the polls.

Fixed it for you.

It is a lie of omission because Ted deliberately omits the fact that Reagan originally appointed her. He deliberately doesn’t tell the whole story. Ted deliberately does that to fool people. And he is fooling people with the lies he tells. Remember how brilliant he is?? The lies of omission are very deliberate on his part.

Lie of omission;

“Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.”

No, he said he’s taking care of everyone who is uninsured and the government is going to pay for it. He didn’t talk about only those who can’t afford private insurance.

Sure, he wants to make sure we know his private insurance plan is going to be “great.” But he was clear and unequivocal that his government safety net would have no holes, leaving no one out. There was nothing in there about income qualifications.

I saw the interview, myself, you refer to.

When Trump was talking about “universal health care” which is what we have NOW by law, repeat, we have universal health care now by law, and universal health care is NOT single payer or socialized medicine, during that particular interview, the conversation had turned to people who could not afford health care insurance. Trump was making the point that people who could not afford health care would still have access to life-saving care.

Again, we have “universal” health care by law at this time. Cruz made himself look like an idiot last night when he kept repeating the socialized medicine meme after Trump insisted that people who could not afford health care should be taken care of.

What Trump said last night was the same thing he has been saying, repeatedly, since he entered the race.

I glanced over your post, but it seems someone omitted aspects of the interview.

Yes. Most people will have private insurance.

Trump will continue the VA, Medicare and a remodeled form of Medicaid. Anyone who calls this socialized medicine is not telling the truth.

What is Cruz's plan, in a nutshell? How will he deal with the uninsured? Does he expect to win in November on a platform of closing down Medicare, Medicaid and the VA?

Read the whole thread. Then think about it for a while. Ted lies, he tells lies of omission to fool people. And, sad to say, it’s painfully obvious many are fooled by them. And he’s the one who wrote the book “A Time For Truth”.

What he’s doing is killing him politically. People can defend his actions if they wont, that is their choice. But it’s real time political suicide. Just watch.

#54, True or False. Donnie used the Visa program to hire about a 1,000 foreigners to clean rooms, mow grass and clean pools at his resorts while there are over 100 Million Americans out of work?

True or False, Donnie used ILLEGAL polish Labor to build his Buildings in N.Y. and settled a case against him for 1 million dollars?

True or False, Donnie is being sued in 2 states for Fraud under RICO for his Business practices in Trump University?

True or False, Donnie was forced by a Judge to subject to a Deposition in December and will be cross examined during the Court Case Scheduled for July?

True or False, Donnie’s attempt to get the case dismissed was refused by the Court in the Fall of 2015? Donnie’s attempt at a counter claim was also denied by the Court?

True or False, Donnie had a restraining order taken out against him for his behavior related to allegations of stalking a Female European Reporter?

Let’s see your attempt at the “Truth” on any of the above questions about the Creep from Manhattan.

Ted Cruz falsely claimed Clinton appointed her when it was Reagan.

No, Cruz was correct. Reagan appointed her to the Federal court; Clinton appointed her to Court of Appeals.

Trump promised to take care of everybody and didn’t include any income qualifications in his plan. His statements from September go further than Medicaid currently does.

Conservatives no that when you promise a free plan with no income qualification, everybody will end up on that plan eventually. That’s socialized medicine. But the point I’m raising is that he lied and said he never said he would take care of everybody and the government would pay for it.

“But that doesn’t change his commitment to covering every single person that doesn’t have a private plan and having the government pay for it.”

So you are against Medicare too, correct?

Private plans are paid for by individuals and employers.

I’m sure you’ve heard of private enterprise.

What is Cruz’s plan?

The Trump supporters on this thread reflect Dear Leader to a T. The actual topic is the lie that Dear Leader told about Alito; not who appointed his sister or about replacing Obamacare.

Also, there's the embarrassment of Dear Leader calling what comes before th court a "bill".

A bright middle schooler would know how dumb that is.

The lie of omission is implying that Trump is for single payer for EVERYONE. You cannot deny that is the deliberate implication.

Another part of the lie of omission is the fact the uninsured are covered right now, most by the government. The safety net already exists and has existed for decades.

Medicare has age and income limits. Donald’s statement in September didn’t include that.
