There’s no way in hell I’d ever vote for a ticket with Kasich on it, whether as prez or veep. And it’s things like this that have long since solidified that position for me.

I still recall his early debate performance where he’s giving himself a self-congratulatory pat on the back for attending a homo wedding ceremony. I don’t think I have the words to fully express how thoroughly repellent I find Kasich, along with any other GOP slugs that cowtow and prostrate themselves before the homo-fascists.

Faith - belief in something not verifiable scientifically

Religion - How one lives one’s life and how one relates to other people because of one’s spiritual beliefs

A key to religion is the shunning of those who do not believe or observe the tenets.

“If a black guy goes into a restaurant and orders a cup of coffee and a doughnut and the restaurant owner refuses to serve the guy because of his ‘religious convictions’, that’s against the law in every state.”

As far as I know, no religion calls for the shunning of people based on skin color.

Those have been over-ridden by nanny state laws. It’s no longer a free country in many states.

I agree with you. The socialist states are especially evident where everyone is the same, so to speak: Japan, Sweden, well, most of Europe, China. WE are the ones who came together, a "mongrel" nation. "Mongrels" are OFTEN the smartest and toughest. No nanny state for the mongrels.

The people who MAKE something of themselves are the achievers. THEY will make the difference and refuse the handouts. They always have; always will.

But to him if a mussie doesn’t want to do something well that’d be okay. Like.

Based on the letter below I wrote on the subject I would consider him clueless about our Constitution.

The 2015 gay marriage ruling completes a rewrite of our Constitution. The First Amendment says and used to mean, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press". In contrast the ruling on gay marriage helps illustrates how far the country has departed from first principles.

We are familiar with the term "speech or expression", which seems an innocuous expansion of the above amendment. However, "expression" enables a nearly unbounded multi-billion dollar pornography industry.

Justice Kennedy's majority opinion states,"The First Amendment ensures that religious organizations and persons are given proper protection as they seek to advocate and teach the principles that are so fulfilling and central to their lives and faith". Such language severely restricts religious freedom by happening to exclude "free exercise thereof". This oversight means one cannot exercise religious beliefs in business and personal lives even though the Constitution makes no distinction between individuals, organizations and churches.

Now we have a country in which a woman can choose to express herself in the adult film industry, but cannot own a bakery and choose to exercise her religious convictions by refusing to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple.

Back in the early ‘80’s I took a course in business law. I was taught that no one can be compelled to perform without a contract...and there is no contract until there is a meeting of the minds .

You know your law. What could even the smartest lawyer say to contravene this law?

Hi, The laws protecting blacks from discrimination in public accommodations like food and lodging has been allowed under the commerce clause of the Constitution. The rationale being that the white supremacist mentality in the south would inhibit their ability to travel and affect interstate commerce. I suppose if you asked Kasich he’d tell you that he believes that reasoning can be extended to a lesbian couple who need a cake for their wedding. I think it’s a ridiculous comparison for many reasons, and I believe a lot of blacks would find the comparison insulting and demeaning to their struggle. Elena

“President of the High School Student Council is about his upper limit.”

I think that would still be too important of an office for someone like Kasich.
