Think this was filmed overseas but anyways, the video shows a guy using a tree to get away from this 5 point deer.(I think) The guy basically maneuvers around the tree so the deer couldn't get to him. Eventually, the man climbs up the tree until the deer moves on. See it here.

That's a bull elk not a deer. And I'm counting a lot more than five points.

I don’t think it’s an Elk. The animal isn’t tall enough for the spread and the rack appears very wide. Looks more like a Red Stag from New Zealand.

Real Men don't climb trees!

My dog would handle the problem.
To: w1n1
What would you do? I would focus my attention on the goal of not letting the elk get between me and the tree.

Five points? Photo’s a little blurry, but I can make out about 12 points.

We had the best dog in the world who died 2 years ago from lymphoma. His name was Sam and he came from the home from hell where he had been abused, shot at and run over in their yard and left for dead. So we gave him a home and he absolutely adored us. One day my husband was working on the tractor and Sam took off like a shot running after one of our goats who disappeared over the top of the hill. My husband was worried that Sam would attack the goats but a few seconds later Sam came running back over the top of the hill, full speed, being chased by 7 goats. Sam was running so fast his back legs were crossing in front his front legs. I still laugh when I think about that. May he rest in peace.
