That was one of the most amazing parts of the CBS Debate and Cruz at his finest.
In a feisty exchange related to core principles, Cruz pointed out that Donald Trump had said the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood. Not only did Trump agree that the federal government should fund Planned Parenthood, but Trump praised all the good work Planned Parenthood does.
Look for that to be turned into an ad rather quickly. Cruz seriously kicked the snot out of Donald Trump on stage. In fact, during the course of this, Cruz said he liked Trump and Trump thanked Cruz. Less than a minute later, Trump was turning on Cruz like Jekyll turning to Hyde. It was bizarre.
Cruz got under Trump’s skin and played it perfectly.
Yippee! I get to vote Tuesday here in Texas.
I want to get in case I die by super Tuesday.
Perot hated the Bush’s.
Trump hates the Bush’s, except Mom Bush.
If it walks likes a duck, quacks like a duck, it is got to be a duck.
Do you support the Nazi experiments because they produced *some* helpful medical data? No? Then donât support PP because they have *some* helpful services.
Reminds me of Patty Murray making a point about bin Laden helping to pay for schools, roads, and day care facilities.
Has DT defended the pre-born on his website yet? Not as of last night. Not an issue for him so no policy in writing.
Including that 47%?
Thanks....they can’t handle the truth ;-)
I forget, which phase of the spin cycle was Der Tumpenflipper telling this "truth" in again, Janey?
["I am very pro-choice"
Trump's flirtations with a presidential bid have put him on record at various moments in a couple of election cycles. In 1999, he appeared on NBC's Meet the Press, when he was thinking about a third-party run.
"I am very pro-choice,"ÃÂ Trump said. "I hate the concept of abortion. I hate it. I hate everything it stands for. I cringe when I hear people debating the subject."
When pressed on whether he would ban a procedure called "partial-birth" by abortion foes, Trump said, "No. I would not. I am pro-choice in every respect as far as it goes, but I just hate it."ÃÂ]
Yawn, phatty....1999??
LOL! And, you CRuzer’s don’t even like us to go back to 2013 to remind you about CRuz’s love for a path to citizenship via green cards, and his wanting to bring the 20+M of illegals ‘out of the shadows’.
He did get trumpy to defend planned parenthood.... and it was easy for him. Like being in court and questioning an idiot witness. He got trumpy to show without a doubt that he is an old, liberal, democrat, casino operator, code pink loving, loudmouth.
It’s not a matter of hearing what you want to hear... it’s a matter of Trump saying one thing when he is at a controlled event and everyone is woshiping him.... and he says something else when he gets pinned down. The truth comes out when he is under pressure.
It’s amazing to see conservatives try to defend Trump on this. Support for Planned Parenthood is support for abortion.
That's because they're losers, obviously. So support the guy that likes Planned Parenthood and you can be a winner. Brillant!
What is going on around here. This is your argument for voting for a Planned Parenthood supporter?
Cruz supporters heard it just fine and recognized it as the absurd nonsense that it is. Trump says Planned Parenthood does wonderful things except when it comes to abortion. Is he really so ignorant that he doesn't realize Planned Parenthood IS abortion?
When did Cruz EVER support abortion like Der Trumpenflopper admitted doing?
This...is pathetic. Yes it is true that if Planned Parenthood didn't offer abortions people wouldn't have a problem with them, but that's because Planned Parenthood wouldn't exist without abortion. It's akin to complaining that Lee Harvey Oswald was a good husband and father and the only reason people have a problem with him is that he blasted Kennedy's head to pieces.
Then you should be dancing in the street that he wants to stop federal funds for that part of their operation.
They use the federal funding for the other services as marketing expense to market abortions.
Funding any part of their other operations is like funding the food and ammunition costs at a Nazi death camp but not funding the gas chambers.
I imagine their books will get a regular going over.
But you do realize even if PP ceased to exist abortion would still happen in differing stages from state to state.
It has nothing to do with the books. The other services draw customers in the door, where they then aggressively push abortions on them. PP is not interested in the other services except as a means to bring potential abortion customers in the door.
And the government should not be funding that with taxpayer dollars.
