The right of center half of the US electorate has a big problem here. 2/3 of them don’t like Trump but can’t decide on one champion to support. 1/3 love Trump, and will be very very angry if he’s not the nominee, to the point of splitting the party in twain.

Yes. Trump has brought mutually assured destruction to his followers and to the rest of the top republican candidates. All need the support of the others and all are likely to remain split.

The right of center half of the US electorate

I think one of the problems with this election is that everyone is trying to analyze it along and old, worn-out spectrum that just doesn't apply. It is citizens against the entrenched powers of Washington DC (both sides) with the goal of clearing out the snake pit.

Unfortunately true. You've got a plurality of Trump supporters, but a lot of folks who won't vote for him if he's the nominee. Then you've got a lot of Trump supporters who won't vote for anyone but him, or, in some cases, Cruz.

The party is going to be split no matter what, and I don't think a split party has much of a prayer in the general election.

It is a long time from February till November. Trump's negatives among people to the right of center, will fade away, as more of them realize that he is not only for real; his disdain for political correctness has the potential to burst the chains that have defeated previous Conservative efforts to stop the erosion of our heritage.

Think about it It is precisely the stick with which many of our politicians, educators, clergymen, journalists, etc., have been beaten & held in line, by the Marxist influenced promoters of a new egalitarian/collectivist America.

Is this English? 1/2 of 2/3 of 1/4 of one half. Cruz is not going to be the nominee, that's the fact Jack. Cruz supporters who have been drinking the Kool-Aid refuse to accept reality, get you head out of the polls and stop looking for arithmetic that suits you. Trump will win the nomination and will win the against either of the two nitwits in the Jack-Ass party.

"2/3 of them don’t like Trump but can’t decide on one champion to support"

There was a poll posted here last night that said Trump had a 67% favorability rating among Republicans, the highest in the field.

I don't have the energy to look for it, but it's here...probably breaking or frontpage.
