Humana? No, really. I might be wrong, but I thought they carried medicaid in several states.
If they jump ship, it would b a miracle. Maybe they are just sabre rattling for extra cash.
Kudos to united healthcare for their courage to stand for reality.. basic math really.

I love watching socialism fail. Don’t repeal and replace this monstrosity, or we’ll be negotiating under the gun. Just repeal Obamacare. The replacement should be freedom.

"ObamaCare enrollees were sicker and more expensive to cover than they anticipated. And worse, they're finding that ObamaCare officials are letting too many people game the system by waiting until after they are sick to enroll for coverage, knowing they can get it guaranteed." Who could have possibly predicted this? Oh the Humanatee!

First you should find it interesting that Aetna is now controlling comm for both companies, having released a nearly-identical statement earlier this week. If that's truly the case, then the Tower is already being hollowed out (I could make a Michael Graves joke but I'll pass).
Secondly, Humana is rattling the sword, mainly for the benefit of the Turtle, for a Senate-passable fix, particularly to the big funky H's Mediscare run rate - before Humana (and Tricare cough cough) are subsumed under the Aetna umbrella of junk insurance.

The growing list of Insurers wanting out of ObamaCare destroys the meme that Big Insurance wrote the law. What’s in it for an industry to author a law that forces them into extinction?

And thirdly, how did you miss incorporating Ex-KyGov. Beshear’s shameful attack on KyGov. Bevin this week, on just this very topic?

I think Humana is in the process of being bought by Anthem, so it really won’t matter is the merger goes through.

Doing taxes this weekend. Going to see how big a fine I get for not being able to afford insurance for my wife. A pox on everyone who voted for this crap.

Humana was a part of Aetna. It merged with Anthem Cigna last fall. It still operates under the name ‘Humana’.
The conglomerate has become the biggest US health insurer.
One of their main competitors is United Health (which, IIRC, is associated with the massive insurance group for older people disguised as AARP).
