Yes, I watched the Super Bowl start to finish. I had no dog in the fight butt was rooting for the Broncos, against all odds, just because Iâd like to see Peyton hang up his cleats before he breaks his neck again. So yay! Iâm happy; apologies to all the Panther fans out there.
A few random observations on the annual pre-Mardi Gras American Bacchanalia:
NOTE: the NFL has apparently decided to block the patriotic part of their show for blogger use, so youâll need to click YouTube to view.
Iâm sure this is just a coincidence butt all 4 Super Bowl halftime performers are FOO (friends of Obama); Coldplay even featured BO singing Amazing Grace on one of their albums.
Bruno Mars (rumored to be gay butt I guess he hasnât officially come out of the closet) performed with the Wonâs at a Fourth of July party.
Kiss, kiss, just like I do with my gay boy
Beyonce has been to the White House almost as frequently as Al Sharpton:
And Lady Gaga performed there (with Tony Bennett) at the 2013 inaugeral after-party.
I confess, Iâve not always been a Peyton Manning fan, although I donât even remember why now. Butt Iâm glad he and his team won. Sometimes, even if you donât like the star of the team right upfront, they grow on you over time and one day you wake up and find yourself cheering for them. Maybe itâs because their toughness and tenancity just makes you believe that America can be great again.
Of course I could be wrong; I suppose Bernie and Beyonce could make America great again too.
Butt nah, I donât really think so.

It's not supposed to be sung that way. It's a straightforward, manly anthem, and should be sung with a sense of anticipation in the first two verses, and strong resolve in the third and fourth. For public performances I would not suggest a woman sing it at all.
Speaking of commercials, did anyone notice the Xfinity commercial that went through the different movie/TV genres? When they got the to the romance part, something caught my eye. The two in the phone booth were women. Way to sneak in the agenda, and guarantee I’ll never buy the product.
Got it.
I knew the pro-abort crowd would hate that commercial. And is it just me but did Peyton twice have to tell American kids that he was going to celebrate by drinking alot?
Coldplay has been coy about the meaning of the lyrics of Viva La Vida, but some interviews may lead you to believe that it is a song about Jesus.
It’s an intentional misspelling used by MOTUS and her regulars as a constant reminder of MSM bias. Stems from the MSM ignoring FLOTUS’ big butt and dubbing her a fashion icon by photoshopping every image of her.
Yep. Caught it.
Lady Gag Gag started out by flattening her notes, then finally ending on key when she hit the high notes straight on, much to everyone's relief. She gets a "B" for bravado.
The National Anthem is pussified and wussified down now from the manly war song it used to be....but then, I'm from the old, out-of-touch, not-hep, ossified codger generation that still values music over blaring noise in entertainment....including patriotic songs that reflect the musical theme's history and intent, not the singer's vocal tricks and narcissism.

Aha! That's what was missing yesterday ... the half-time Butt Bowl on MTV.
It's always the same contrived, over-staged lip-synch pseudo-music.
Whichever pop artist is having their 15 or 16 minutes of fame, synched to musicians pretending to play instruments while jumping up and down in the air, like the 100 or however many young violinists were on stage with Coldplay, jumping up and down in unison, at the same time as a few hundred young people comprising an "audience", also all jumping up and down, in unison...
I can recall some good musical acts playing the Super Bowl, live, like Tower of Power once upon a time, which makes about the last... decade or two, maybe longer, even all the more insulting.
Maybe they oughta try just a real choreographed dance show from Las Vegas at halftime without the pseudo-music.
Beyoncé particularly deserves the prize for just plain ol' vulgarity though. Look what she's cultivated and made of herself over the last, what, 15 years?
The site is Michelle Obama's Mirror.
I thought the montage of all the first 50 acts was nice, especially Whitney and Michael Jackson . . . then they blew it with the stupid “Believe in Love” crap.
THIS IS A GAME WHERE GROWN MEN BEAT EACH OTHERS’ BRAINS INTO BANANA PUDDING!
It is very hard to be "creative" in the stifling PC atmosphere of today's culture.
Some retired NFL player is in deep doodoo because he used the word "boy" when referring to Cam Newton. I read his tweet and I knew he was referring to his immature behavior at the press conference. However, the "culture" decided he was using it as a racial insult. So, I guess the word "boy" is now off-limits even when speaking of a grown man throwing a temper tantrum. The retired player explained that he was using it to refer to his immature behavior, but, one can't let a chance for racial greivance to go unmet.
I laughed at only two commercials; both, Doritos. Never liked them, don't eat them; but, the commercials were mildly entertaining. I was greatly disappointed in all the rest. Nothing special.
I have often thought that they should invite the two top college marching bands in the country to perform in a sort-of play-off. Winner gets a national title. It would be more appropriate for the venue, and infinitely more entertaining.
I just now watched it again on youtube and for the life of me, I still can't remember what they're trying to sell......
I can’t make that application myself; but, I can see the crash of our country.
That's an understatement. The lavish halftime spectacles must be expensive, and I have yet to meet anyone who thinks they are worth the proverbial warm pail of spit.
I heard about that. I didn’t see it. Not sure I want to.
