The primary season has started. The top three candidates have been identified. I would pose the following question to all conservatives in this country.
WHERE ARE THE SOLIDLY CONSERVATIVE, DOWN-TICKET CANDIDATES?
I have not heard a single word about the down-ticket candidates that will also be running.
If Trump, Cruz or Rubio win the general election, it will be a hollow victory if candidates with solid conservative principles are not elected to the US Congress.
What say you?
For all the muck-raking about the Presidential candidates, what good will it do for the country, if a conservative Congress is not elected with them.
What is the “solidly conservative” thing you speak of?
What is this “US Congress” thing you speak of?
yeah . . thanks for cheering me up.
The Constitution comes to mind, and that creepy place in DC where self-serving sob’s hang out.
Look how well we did in the last two elections, when “conservatives” supposedly captured both houses. [/sarc]
The Cheap Labor Express is trying to get even with Dave Brat for disrupting the passage of Rubio’s amnesty bill by putting up a challenger.
I don’t think it’ll work.
We love Dave Brat.
It’s so nice to finally be represented by a decent man after being ignored by the weasel Eric Cantor.
CANTORIZE YOUR WEASELS, AMERICA!
One man will not be able to do all the things we need to get done.
I am assuming we win, and with no re-election in 2020.
that is one, how about the other seats?
It will take a large number of good people in the Congress
to help our (hopefully) new conservative President get a
conservative agenda passed and Obama’s damage repaired.
Kelli Ward in AZ has solidly hooked her wagon to Trump against McLame. I think she’s having good success. There has only been one early poll, though, and she’s ahead.
I told Dave Brat that I do not have to worry about his vote. He seems like the proverbial guy you could have a beer with.
Let’s hope that all, or at least most of the Senate seats are contested by a conservative candidate.
Same is true for the House seats.
I think in all the ruckus of Trump and Cruz fight, the Congressional seats are being forgotten and that can only benefit the establishment.
Pete Olson, our GOPE Congress critter is running again and has no opposition in either party. Cornyn is pumping out press releases and seems to have gotten “conservatism” during the last month so assume he is running in 2018. Our family is not voting for either of them. Trying to concentrate on our local races but the blue candidates seem to be taking over.
Without looking, I couldn’t tell you for sure who is running on either side to replace Dan Coats in Indiana. Maybe Marlin Stutzman, IIRC.
We could do far worse than him. Boehner got him booted from his committee for bucking the leadership on continually tying Food Stamps to the Ag bill.
Also haven’t heard if anyone is challenging Susan Brooks, who hasn’t veered from the leadership on a single topic that I can think of.
Pence is going to get hit hard on the LGBT thingie by the Left. Especially now that it seems dead for this year. He also PO’d more than a few conservatives by not standing behind the original RFA
(Just the view from my neck of the cornfield)
I had heard that Cornyn had cancer or something like that. I guess he wants to die in the Senate.
I hope everybody else in the country is focusing on the local contests as well.
good. Griffith is mine but he is uncontested (I think).
I vote Nationalist, not “Conservative”.
I can live with that so long as the US Constitution is adhered to.
I’m sorry!
The reality of DC is indeed very depressing.
as long as we clean it out this time.
If the nomination goes to an insider who is a supporter of amnesty then the down-ticket candidates and our country are in deep do-do because conservatives by the millions will stay home on election day. Period.
