Did you watch the Republican debate last night? Neither did I. I did tune in to their after-show selfie analysis long enough to note that Fox thinks they did a very fine job, indeed. With The Donald off the set the show really was all about the moderators, the way itâs supposed to be.
And I must say in the clips I saw Ms. Megyn looked fabulous. Although those furry eyelashes were a bit distracting in the same way Lady Mâs are from time to time
Anyway, they think they did such a swell job that they even managed to breathe a little life back into well financed policy wonk Jeb! and to give a little boost to everybodyâs new favorite homeboy, Marco.
So hatâs off to Fox, it could have been a very difficult situation butt they handled it like the proâs they are. Iâd say they did a swell job.
They just seem to be getting bigger and bigger donât they?
Caution: continuous batting of those furry lashes may be hazardous to your health.
P.S. Preliminary numbers indicate that viewership of last nightâs debate were not as yuge as the previous ones.

Megyn lost my respect last night. It was totally improper for her to ask a question, and the interrupt the answer to argue with the candidate. It’s time for a real debate, without moderators.
What’s with Megan’s Racheal Maddow hair??
How the time was divided between candidates:
“Domenico Montanaro â @DomenicoNPR
After 6th break, per @barbarasprunt
Rubio: 13:01
Cruz: 12:35
Bush: 8:58
Kasich: 8:04
Christie: 7:45
Paul: 7:21
Carson: 4:05

Well Meggie looked like somebody put her makeup on with a trowel. The fake eyelashes were over the top and then the butch hairdo. The only positive was she lost the hooker dress for a more professional pantsuit.
Trump should send her candy and flowers for deep sixing Cruz. She probably won him the Iowa caucus. LOL!
These aren’t “debates”. They are the stupid Right letting the Left run the Right’s show. They are all about the “moderators” showcasing themselves and figuring out how to make the GOP candidates look bad.
The smartest thing for these candidates to do is to not go to the Left’s show and instead run their own show with a format that is actually a debate - each candidate discussing and debate the same subject at hand and the moderators out of the picture.
Didn’t watch it. However, for a long time, my husband and I have wondered why a so called debate should become a nasty hatchet job of most of the candidates (except those they favor) done by supposed newsmen/women who can’t ask questions the viewers would be interested in having answered? And why is it often conducted with “gotcha” questions aimed at candidates these moderators don’t favor. The moderators need to show less “personality” and more gumption, because Fox News lets the moderators become the story, and not the candidates. Now Fox Business News and their reporters have the right stuff, Fox News is becoming lurid National Enquirer stuff, with Megan Kelly leading the pack.
I didn’t watch it live...
I watched the 2nd half of the kiddies table then I went to that other event...
I watched the YouTube video later...
about 10 minutes after that 1st awful Q & A at the start, I went to sleep in front of my computer..
Then I woke up and went to bed...
I don’t need another unscheduled nap today thanks so I haven’t gone back as yet to watch the rest...
Yes, something like a list of issues that the debate will be about, and then a statement by each candidate about their position on each issue. Then a time when one candidate can address another candidate about their position, and then that candidate has time to respond. Then move on to the next issue on the list. There is only need for a moderator to keep track of time and ensure decorum.
Common sense, right? Just like the candidates on the Right running their own show instead of astonishingly letting the opposition run their show. Common sense - seems to be a rare bird these days.
