The tragedy of Tuesday’s Oregon Malheur refuge affair is that like most other Americans, the occupiers mistakenly assume they still have freedom of movement in today’s America.
They didn’t and don’t. And now a dead cowboy, barely mentioned in the Fox/Trump mainstream media saturation coverage, is the tragic result.
The shooting which claimed the life of rancher LaVoy Finicum, father of 11 children and numerous grandchildren, is already being written off as a routine “traffic stopâ€.
Socialism and traditional Irish culture tend to dovetail. But also note that it was Ireland of recent years that wholeheartedly lowered taxes on individuals and corporations and that their taxes remain lower than ours in the USA.
Is anyone aware of a compilation of incidents where citizens were killed by law enforcement officials in situations where lethal force was clearly not required to control the situation?
(I’m not referring to circumstances where use of lethal force was clearly a reasonable response to a threat or to protect innocent life.)
It sounds like the cowboy received the Bonnie & Clyde treatment. It had the intended effect. The government does not have to murder too many people to keep the frightened masses in line, if the news media promotes it right. An occasional Waco or Ruby Ridge reminds the public who is boss.
We do. Momentum is building; it’s coming.
There are also Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) data as well as arrest-related deaths (ARD)

Murder would be the charge if the shooting were reversed, so it’s only fair that we start from that point when government shooters kill their employers. From there we hope for a fair and impartial investigation to make the case or to exonerate the taxpayer-funded killer. This would be a break in the usual coverup so favored by the US Senate committees after Ruby Ridge and Waco.
Is that a problem?

That’s nonsense. The entire context of the incident, being a stop by law enforcement, makes it nonsensical to speak of “reversing” the situation, because citizens don’t have any authority to stop people and detain them. That’s a province exclusive to law enforcement, and consequently, there are unique rules for that situation that all of us are aware of. We can’t pretend those rules, and the consequences of this man ignoring them, do not exist just so that you can vent your anger about the government.
I am the law.
The law is not immune from the law.
Okay, I think I get it. We’re the government. Obey or die. It is wholly realistic to speak of reversing the situation in terms of a shooting. You introduce the subject of a checkpoint to deflect and obfuscate, and in doing so make it clear you’re a fan of government shootings in general. Haven’t there been enough incidents of questionable government shootings of civilians in just the last two or three years alone to make you want to examine the details just a little bit closer, or are you, as I suspect, a government shooter yourself? Here we have an administration hoping for general disarmament and simultaneously sending in the shooters to control the civilians, and cheerleaders on the side bleating their support. Be careful what you wish for.
You’re off the deep end, you sound like a “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” type.

Officer involved shootings, like any other shooting, ought to be investigated thoroughly by impartial entities in order to completely eliminate the potential stench of official vigilantism or government death squads. The idea that cheerleaders like yourself sit safely on the sideline applauding the bloodshed doesn’t help either objective.
