This is an open letter to Mark Levin regarding Ted Cruz, from someone named Lauren Stephens, who I've never heard of before. It's a fairly long letter, but worth the read. Much detail. Just to be up front, she is critical of Cruz, but her criticisms are not gratuitous, and they are sourced. A lot of new information here that I wasn't aware of.

Just in case Lauren Stephens hasn’t done research on Donald Trump, here’s a little to get her started:

Just last summer Trump said before defunding Planned Parenthood, we should look at their ‘good aspects.’

Bret Baier asked why he supported single-payer in 2000. Here’s his answer.

As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland.

“We are not talking about positions he has taken years ago before he became a Republican. In 2013, conservatives were fighting for dear life to oppose open borders, while Trump was not only supporting the Dream Act, but echoing the liberal politically correct talking points behind it. In August of 2013, he reportedly told a group of illegal aliens, “You have convinced me” of the need to pass the Dream Act.”

“Trump has long praised Mitch McConnell, the man who is the embodiment of why people are fed up with the party and attracted to Trump in the first place. While conservatives were fighting to get rid of McConnell in the 2014 primaries, Trump said, “It would be a shame if he didn’t win, because he has such power, it’s so good for his state.”

It comes as no surprise, then, that late last year Trump criticized Cruz for acting like a “maniac” when he called McConnell a liar. How does Trump plan to fight political correctness and the culture of the D.C. establishment when he has championed the mastermind of the GOP establishment and is offended by the non-politically correct criticism of its leader?

TRUP: (Michael Bloomberg is) “a friend of mine. He’s been an excellent mayor of New York City. He’s a great guy and he means very well.” (2013)
....

“I think pretty strongly that (Bill de Blasio will) end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor and I don’t think he’s going to want to kill the golden goose. ...I think he’s a smart guy that knows what’s going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York. I think he is going to want to make New York great.” (2013)

I’m sorry, but she is a big-government, pro-ethanol ignoramus.

Yes, I agree that the GOPe is evil. No less.

And Cruz is slick and calculating.

Trump has been more or less on the GOP most of the way.

Levin deserves a serious dressing down for his Cruz-ading against Trump without exposing that his son-in-law-to-be is full-time on Cruz’s payroll.

But her entire ethanol argument—oh, we can’t stop any subsidies and government mandates or all the workers in the industry will become wards of the state in another form—is outrageous and fundamentally unconservative.

I agree with Lauren, having been a long-time fan of Mark Levin from the start of his broadcast career. Lately, however, I have begun to see Levin and other Conservatiives on the air as coat holders -- men who egg someone on to fight and then stand back and hold their coats while the fight goes on. In short, all talk and no action.

One error I saw in the piece was with regard to the house in Atlantic City. That house is not still standing, it was torn down by the new owner (Carl Icahn) who bought the property in 2014.

Levin has proven himself to be a fraud and a hack. Levin is also a thin skinned pipsqueak who bans any dissenting commenters from his social media sites and just wants an army of sycophants agreeing with his rantings and ravings. He has totally discredited himself with his nonstop bashing of Trump and his failure to disclose his “stepson’s” employment with Cruz. Levin has chosen to discredit himself. He’ll continue to have a following and a large listener base but the Great One? What a narcissistic blowhard.

"When Ted Cruz had the opportunity, THE opportunity, to nip gay marriage in the bud - did he? Nope, he turned and walked away. And what he chose NOT to fight for, is the exact case that led directly to gay marriage. You can read more about Lawrence vs Texas right here. You can read Supreme Court Justice Scalia’s response, right here. It sums it all up."

Cruz did nothing as Texas top attorney when the Laweence vs Texas was argued before the Supreme Court. That alone should sink Ted Cruzs' campaign to be POTUS.

“First of all, the way I see it, Mr. Trump was truly kind to Cruz. I believe the bromance was genuine, on Mr. Trump’s behalf. So let us not forget it was Cruz who fired the first shot by speaking so horribly of Trump in the undercover audio, which was later released to the public. It proved, without a doubt, that Cruz saw Trump as nothing more than another vehicle to take him where he wanted to go. You can click here to hear it.”

Bingo.

Much of the Levin problem is explained in this article. NO, I don’t like the source, but they got most of it right.

Just read the site. Concur with your impressions.

Thanks for posting this: I am now solidly pro-Trump.

Just a little info on her, never heard of her before.

These days on about everything I hear and examine a person's political motivations when they attack.

Trump came out on vaccine-autism controversy a while back, and I think that may be what got her attention.

I did not follow this and have no clue of the history of this movement. But thought this may be applicable to the discussion.

Lauren Stephens Loves Trump..
https://twitter.com/xlaurenstephens

It appears she also runs a campaign consulting service:
http://conservativecampaignconsulting.com/
(referenced on her twitter and reverse ip of her domain name)
http://reverseip.domaintools.com/search/?q=laurenstephens.com

The Mailing Address for the domain registration for laurenstephens.com
Is PO Box 1170, SANGER, CA (pulled from whois information)

Now if you keep going down the rabbit hole and search for
PO Box 1170, Sanger, CA

You get links referring to the SB277 Referendum in California.

Which after digging I found an archive of her website:

Dear SB277 Opponents: Tim Donnelly and Lauren Stephens Killed the Movement
http://rightondaily.com/2015/10/dear-sb277-opponents-tim-donnelly-and-lauren-stephens-killed-the-movement/ - October 17, 2015

I saw the anguish of the women who never understood how Lauren Stephens lied to them during the effort. Some still do not comprehend how Tim Donnelly lied to them. What we see today is Tim Donnelly’s narcissism on display as he continues to spin every way he can to avoid an apology, while the sociopath Stephens has tried to throw him and others under the bus to save herself.

Let me apologize to the women who fear for their children’s safety. We tried to help you. We tried to warn you. I am sorry that I can’t fix this… Just make sure you inform people so Tim Donnelly and Lauren Stephens can’t hurt anyone else.

Lauren Stephens filed the referendum based on a paranoid conspiracy she created in her head. She lied repeatedly and used people. She broke people’s hearts and got Tim Donnelly involved because Donnelly has tax liens, bankruptcies and owes people money.

Donnelly got money to keep his failing radio show on the air for a while longer while the SB277 Referendum failed miserably. While Tim is too broken of a person to even apologize or be honest with himself about what he did – Lauren Stephens does not care one bit.

She’s off to her next scam.
